friday night lights is good but the book is alot better so im led to believe

The two best American Football films are THE EXPRESS - ERNIE DAVIS STORY and WE ARE MARSHALL.

Both are based ontrue stories and for anybod who doesn`t know their football history I`ll say no more and not waste the films for you. Just recently released and you will really enjoy them.

It's based on the book of the same name about a high school team in Texas, slightly altered for the screen but still good.

There is also a series but I haven't seen it so don't know how good it is.

I watched the recent the longest yard recently and found it quite funny. The film flew by which is a good sign of finding it good.

Varsity Blues aint too bad if you can see past the cheese.

Any Given Sunday was very good but IMO The Express was an even better film about the NFL.

For an oldie: they used to alwasy show the Harold Lloyd silent American Football one on Fridays back in the 80s on BBC2
