Saints for me, I think the Colts might have a better record over the course of the regular season, but their run game has been abysmal thus far (which goes to show how well Manning is playing), and you need to be able to run the ball in the Play-offs.

You sure about that?

In the Wildcard round against the Falcons, their RB's were going for 4+ yards per clip.

In the Divisional round against the Panthers, their RB's were going for over 4 yards per carry.

Even in the AFCCG against a very good Run D, they managed 100 yards+.

In the Playoffs, the Cards were far from one dimensional.

Steelers run stats from the Playoffs....

Divisional round against the Chargers - Willie Parker had 27 carries for 146 yards and 2 TD's.

AFCCG, the Ravens #2 rated run D shut down the run game. But then the Ravens couldn't get it going against the #1 ranked rush D, which is why they lost.

Yeah but still questionable secondary. But would take Pats over Colts (in Indy) again.

We were ranked fourth in passing yards until Sunday night, and the secondary has been the real bright spark on defense this year. One of the great QB's and one of the best receivers in the game had fantastic games - it happens.
Report DoggyLFC November 18, 2009 11:21 AM GMT
H, the secondary is getting smashed because the Giants can't get any pressure. Their CB's aren't great (where's the Corey Webster fan-boy disappeared to? :D), but they've been able to do a decent enough job in the past because they D-line was all over opposing QB's. Now that's not happening, they're getting picked apart - and that can happen no matter how good you are back there.
Report HARRY22 November 18, 2009 11:25 AM GMT

Minnesota will be underdogs to win in Arizona most likely, no certainty there. That would put them at best 14-2. So New Orleans could lose two games and still be level. Carolina away are just as tough for Minnesota as they are for NO. New Orleans may well lose a game, they would still be heavy odds against to be undefeated. However at this stage so would Minnesota not to lose another game. That loss to Pittsburgh may well be the difference.

Report Fallen Angel November 18, 2009 2:39 PM GMT
Obviously I am slightly biased based on my back of NO, I am expecting that if they get number 1 spot there be a 3.9 shot or better. I can see the arguements for Minnesota considering the schedule, it really depends on how good the patriots actually are I suppose. You pay your money and make your choice.

At least with backing either Minnesota or NO you limit youself to a 3 game post season, places a ceiling on price. Assuming you think at 7/2 arizona and dallas 6/3 are too far back. Another assumption I know but with any of this you have to make a call at some stage.
