Saints for me, I think the Colts might have a better record over the course of the regular season, but their run game has been abysmal thus far (which goes to show how well Manning is playing), and you need to be able to run the ball in the Play-offs.

Absolute nonsense
Huh? When was the last time a one-dimensional team got further than the Wildcard/Divisional round?

We All know who, Name your Team & I'll Tell Why they Won't
Example : Steeler's although Fitter than last year, Their Style of Game is why they Won't. Unable to score , score again & score again. Any one who manager's a 14 point lead will show them Up.

said it all along...vikes have the best balance throughout the team..you may not see it all yet but this i believe will help them in the playoffs...1 defeat so far

SLB 16 Nov 00:30 Arizona were as one dimensional as it gets last season.
You sure about that?
In the Wildcard round against the Falcons, their RB's were going for 4+ yards per clip.
In the Divisional round against the Panthers, their RB's were going for over 4 yards per carry.
Even in the AFCCG against a very good Run D, they managed 100 yards+.
In the Playoffs, the Cards were far from one dimensional.

Rushing ranking last year
Pittsburgh - 23rd Arizona - 32nd
That would be the regular season?
Sorry, what has that got to do with the Playoffs?

Do you think rushing ability is a button teams just push on and off when they please?
And for the record. Pitt and AZ both averaged 91yds rushing a game in the playoffs. So once again, not prolific.

Divisional round against the Chargers - Willie Parker had 27 carries for 146 yards and 2 TD's.
AFCCG, the Ravens #2 rated run D shut down the run game. But then the Ravens couldn't get it going against the #1 ranked rush D, which is why they lost.
Don't thank me.....

It doesn't need to be prolific, just 'there'.

For the record all I was doing was making the rather obvious point that over last season as a whole Arizona were a one-dimensional team. Not disputing that their run game did wake up a bit during the playoffs.
:)

didn't realise it would cause this much of a stir. i just wanted an idea of what most people thought at his stage. but from comments so far, it seems a bit early. my nfl knowledge is limited, but wanted to know if therew as some value out there. ill kep my eye on the viking and pats as the price's seem generous at the mo... cheers all.

YES ; Ace High All season Team's ALLOWED the UNFIT ..To : " STEEL Game's " was a Discusting Episode in NFL. All anyone had to say : was they not the only one's that allowed it to happen . Beg's the Question : Just how Poor Some of the AMERICAN Coaches are ? followed by the Statement : That an OUTSIDER ( outside of USA ) Would whip their A, SS-ES !

Happy with my saints bet at 33/1. Wouldn't back them at the price they are now.
Looking a bit off colourin the last few games but could go into playoffs on top form.
It's hard to outscore them imo

there's an awful lot of rubbish in this league and we don't yet know how good the saints are as they've been beating up on poor teams. the patriots were all over the colts tonight until that 4th quarter meltdown,i'd still take them in the afc provided bellyache hasn't left a mark on his defense. nfc at the prices, vikings or giants for me,still think the giants aren't a lost cause

Yeah but still questionable secondary. But would take Pats over Colts (in Indy) again.
Got Jags at 300s lol... good position in the hunt for one WC with a quite easy schedule.

patriots looked pretty good. probably the best team in the league. i know that sounds daft at 6-3 but thats just how the nfl is. all the top teams have problems, mainly with the defense. arizona could be coming up on the rails. still have to fancy new orleans at home against anybody. wouldnt really fancy them in the superbowl though.

I am on Saints at 25s but their price isn't gonna drop much more until playoffs at least.
Thinking of laying it because they are nowhere near the team that NE were in 07, also think Vikes can beat them, as well as Colts and Pats at least.
Unfortunately also on Ravens and Broncos :S

i managed to get 40's on the giants to win superbowl outright. I think thats amazing value to be fair. they just got thier bye week and will HAVE to win on the bounce back.
Its not going to need a major improvement on the giants part to make the playoffs. just stop making silly mistakes and get back to what they are good at. smash mouth football.

incaseof 16 Nov 15:59 Yeah but still questionable secondary. But would take Pats over Colts (in Indy) again.
We were ranked fourth in passing yards until Sunday night, and the secondary has been the real bright spark on defense this year. One of the great QB's and one of the best receivers in the game had fantastic games - it happens.

H, the secondary is getting smashed because the Giants can't get any pressure. Their CB's aren't great (where's the Corey Webster fan-boy disappeared to? :D), but they've been able to do a decent enough job in the past because they D-line was all over opposing QB's. Now that's not happening, they're getting picked apart - and that can happen no matter how good you are back there.

yeah they are good points but the boy ross has come on a lot and they do miss him...that is true if u dont get any pressure the best receivers in the league cant cover the best receivers...they will get open....anyone going into the playoffs has a genuine shot...thats the NFL...think the saints price is awful..dont even think they willl get home field

Really? If the Pats don't knock them off a week on Monday, I can't see anyone doing it. They could very well considerably go 16-0, or 15-1 even if we beat them.
I can see the Vikings losing anther couple though.

yeah really Doggy...ive stuck with this prediction all the way...i think minnesota gets home field and i think they are the better balance team...they still have their best Defensive player to come back WINFIELD...we can say they should of lost to the 49ers and then they should of won at heinz field...the saints are good but they have had some luck on the way...miami shook them up and the panthers and falcons ran them close....carolina dallas or new england can beat them...il say 2from3 they lose

Seattle, yikes. So much has gone wrong there in such a small amount of time. They desperately need to sort their O-line out, otherwise Hasselbeck's career (what's left of it) will be over very very soon. Their D has gone to sh*t too.

Minnesota will be underdogs to win in Arizona most likely, no certainty there. That would put them at best 14-2. So New Orleans could lose two games and still be level. Carolina away are just as tough for Minnesota as they are for NO. New Orleans may well lose a game, they would still be heavy odds against to be undefeated. However at this stage so would Minnesota not to lose another game. That loss to Pittsburgh may well be the difference.

Obviously I am slightly biased based on my back of NO, I am expecting that if they get number 1 spot there be a 3.9 shot or better. I can see the arguements for Minnesota considering the schedule, it really depends on how good the patriots actually are I suppose. You pay your money and make your choice.
At least with backing either Minnesota or NO you limit youself to a 3 game post season, places a ceiling on price. Assuming you think at 7/2 arizona and dallas 6/3 are too far back. Another assumption I know but with any of this you have to make a call at some stage.
