Well, compared to College Football anyway. Three weeks ago I was barely aware of it's existence. Now I've got ESPN. Much, much more entertaining. Especially the fact that the teams know that one loss at any point in the season could and probably will cost them a shot at the national title. It's awesome!
Haven't watched more than 4 part games, I like the game, But Doesn't collage rules make watching NFL. Frustrating , ( Stepping out of bounds Rule ) Plus watching Up & coming can be Good, But could it not also leave you Frustrated when they don't live up to potentual in the NFL.

True aficionados of the great game love the defensive battles and score lines like 6-3, with no TD`s being scored.

"SKY is poor value for NFL coverage".
I take it the 47 on your chatname does not denote the year that you were born, otherwise you wouldnt be criticising Sky`s coverage of the NFL. I`m not trying to be funny mate but if anybody had said to me in the 1960`s, when I was desperately trying to listen to NFL games on AFN Radio, that in the new millennium I would be watching LIVE triple headers every Sunday on Sky and C5, I would have sent for the men in the white coats for them!! Sure they have cut back slightly by dropping the red button games and MNF but NFL fans still have terrific coverage and value on Sky now, for what is basically a minority sport.
Like you ND, I appreciate College Football too, but to say that its better than the NFL is a wild, wild statement!! Give me the NFL any day of the week, with "Any Given Sunday" and all that, a statement that one could never associate with College Football where nearly ever game on a Saturday is one sided, with 34pt underdogs and so on.
:D

NFL on Sky... This year is poor value compared to last year in my opinion. We all now about the no red button & no MNF argument so I'll say no more on that but it's the quality that is grating, this year there seems to have been so many poor matches on that you wonder what the people choosing the fixtures are on, that said the upcoming games are looking decent.
Another thing which is quite long standing for me is the whole studio thing why pay for a live studio broadcast with 3 poor broadcasters when they could just use US coverage like ESPN does and used to when it was NASN, far superior and I'm guessing it might save them time & effort.
College or NFL... Yes there are lots of beatings handed out in college but there are so many more fixtures being played so it is quite easy to avoid watching some of these beat downs if you know your teams. The NFL has a max of 16 fixtures in one week, there is a lot less choice imo.
Also look at the bigger variety of offences in College football, because the NFL has such elite athletes it stifles teams from running something like the option in the manner that Navy might and will probably lead to someone like Tim Tebow getting drafted to play another position. What I'm trying to say is that the NFL has rather a vanilla flavour to it if you want the proof of that look at the way people are w@nking off over the Wildcat and saying how great it is, it only seems that way because the NFL is a bit vanilla at times.
I could go on but I won't (I might later though).
Born in '82 So I've always had NFL on the box so perhaps I'm spoilt but I can't help feel that 2 live games a week up until now ain't that good compared to what we got last year or get college wise on ESPN for a tenner.
