Hello friends. Today I heard terrible news that Betfair will probably exclude lay multiple option. Now it doesn't exist in new site version and the old site is going to be deleted. I remember they were providing a reason that only few percent of all users use that function. Lay multiple option is the biggest Betfair difference from other bookmakers so without it for some of us there will be no reason to stay here but sadly other bookies are not good either. No more lay correct scores, few teams or players to win. No more 1 winner from 2 or more to win your stake. Only all selections must be right. I'm guessing most of you didn't even notice this lay multiple thing or were too lazy to figure it out with Betfair help section. It's the most fun thing bookmakers ever invented and I really don't want it to dissapear so please people join in and write to Betfair that you need this ! Keep laying multiples alive !

I have written to them about this many times. I really hate how Betfair are forcing us to use the new Beta when it will have FEWER options than what we already had. The fact is, it has more options because they are gimping their own previous multiples product.... how stupid does that sound?!

Thought things were different recently but as it did'nt effect my bets i did'nt give it a 2nd thought until today i rang up saying weres the champs league matches for multi then the man burst my bubble my whole way of betting will have to change as he said only 1% use " LAY " IN MULTI so its going soon i was shocked as thats all i mainly do anyway he requested the champs league match which are now on coupon but no Europa league matches like :-( anyway we all need to stick togeather here world wide can all sign a petition saying KEEP THE " LAY " ALIVE |

to be honest, they seem too intent on driving people away. I won't use any of their multiple products until they either restore the old multiples product or introduce lay multiples on the beta. Simple as that

Noob questions...
I used these the first time this weekend, just curious, took a while to get my head around it. I'm guessing it costs BF virtually nothing to have the flip side of the backing functionality they already have (and presumably are retaining). Surely BF do not lose money on this because they just match you up with money from the exchanges? Perhaps they feel it's too confusing to ever become widely used (they do have a point here). My brain is still in a learning curve here, but what exactly is being removed? I understand at the runner level, you back and lay various runner outcomes, and then you decide to back or lay these selections at the group level. Is it the option to LAY at the group level that's being removed? Surely though, does this just mean you have to invert the selections at the runner level in order to achieve the same lay effect at the group level? I must defer to those with more experience on this, as I can't presently bend my brain that far in this area. |

Laying multiples is mostly what I use BF for too, will be a shame if they disable this. I won't be using any of the multiples products either if they get rid of the lay option!

I agree with you guys entirely. Even reading the results/odds now is crap with the beta multiples.
One (Another) thing I haven't clear: And if I add "draw no bet" to a multiples slip, which they seem to accept, how is that going to work? |
