...has been found to have breached (overspent) the spending cap. And, this "constitutes cheating", according to MCLaren boss Zak Brown. Apparently, this was a well-known within the F1 community.

The $64k question is what will F1 administration do? Turn a blind-eye or ditch out a stiff penalty which may include points deduction from season 2021 and 2022; a mega fine; plus a reduction in 2023 expenditure by Red Bull.

I wonder how much this spending breach was responsible for Verstappen winning 2022 and 2023 Driver Championship.

Redbull and Verstappen cannot be telling the truth about when letting Perez thro in the final lap. The on-board camera made it clear Verstappen was 1st asked to let Perez by into 6th place after Turn 4 on the final lap, and again 3x after he exited the final corner.

A multi $m F1 outfit cannot communicate to their drivers clearly or telling the truth publicly. Just a week ago Redbull was found guilty for not reporting accurately on budget expenditure, and now this. How disappointing!!

The allegations concerning Mr Horner are very serious, and those within the sport reckon he'll most likely have to resign or be sacked. At the moment unless the allegations are of a sexual nature Mr Horner can walk into a F1 team with little bother.

This is not going to go away, even though Horner's been exonerated from any wrong doing. I reckon the whistle blowers will have their day and Horner may well be forced to resign in the end.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2024/feb/29/christian-horner-back-in-eye-of-f1-storm-after-email-leaks-alleged-messages. I'll be surprised if Horner survives the weekend, the day even, as team principle.

wtf is the point in investigating it, and then just announce 'Nowt to see here, all good'. Baffling red bull didn't think these emails would be released.

Verstappen cruised to an easy victory from his team mate Perez. But, he declined 2x to give a definitive reply when asked if he had full confidence in his team boss Mr Horner.

I think Mr Horner is toast; Adrian Newey and now Verstappen not backing him definitively.

I think whether Mr Horner goes in his own accord or be sacked could be down to financial compensation. The former is more straight forward eg an agreed remuneration with bonus in lieu of distinguished service; the latter could be contested as he's been exonerated.

I think it's a matter of time; F1 cannot/will not play 2nd fiddle to Mr Horner. The presence of Mr Horner in the pitlane is a constant distraction now.

Red Bull has suspended the female Mr Horner has alleged to be improper with; Thai owner (51%) sided with Mr Horner but Austrians (49%) against.

Red Bull has chosen corporate (business) despite an improper behaviour of a senior manager on a female employee; 51:49. Is it over? I'd doubt it. The image of F1 is tarnished, and the bad publicity and scrutiny will eclipse Red Bull performance on the track as long as Mr Horner is at Red Bull.

Adrian Newey the genius behind the design of Redbull F1 cars is to leave the team in the wake of the controversy involvong allegations about team principal Christian Horner.

He's strongly linked with Ferrari and is known to have been made an offer by Aston Martin. Newey's contract with Redbull lasts until the end of 2025 but he's said to believe he can negotiate an exit to allow him to work with another team from next season.

Ferrari? That will be music to Hamilton's ear!

Is it a coincidence the change in fortune of Verstappen and the impending departure of Adrian Newey? These two have been consistently aligned last season and this.

Not the same team since the issue with Horner and the impending early departure of Newey.

Boring! Next year will be very different without Newey for sure.

2025 is going to be very different. Verstappen nicked a race from the "Papaya" team; could only manage 3rd, 4th and 7th in qualifying. And, Verstappen could only finish 6th yesterday at Bahrain. At one stage he was last.

Is this the end of the dominance of Red Bull? If so, is the regression coinciding with the unexpected departure of Adrian Newey, the brain behind Red Bull car design and aerodynamic? The present Red Bull car displays the same balance issue as that in the 2nd half of 2024 season.

He should have been black flagged today.

A little gutless from the other drivers. You should not  have to tolerate nutters ramming you deliberately on the roads or a track.
