you've obviously never seen a grand prix start before when it's been similar wet conditions, it's carnage at the first and second corners, this ensure we actually have a few cars to race, it's there for a reason

scand - even the Sky boys were saying it was joke to have a safety car start. The sport is finished. sixtwosix summarises it well in his post above

Plenty of clever guys at the start of the race.
Fact is no mass crash on first couple of laps and this is a motherfcuker of a Grand Prix. Truly breath taking. Well done Charlie Whiting! |

They make the decision about 15mins before the off when it was still raining. Staying out for 5 laps was a joke though
I cant believe how boring todays race was. Wet weather/mixed races used to be entertaining |

A lot of people saying the race was boring. It was like driving on ice for the first half of the race. Plenty of amazing saves. What about Verstappen's move on Rosberg. You won't see better.
F1 delivers what you look for in it. As for it being finished - rubbish. |

Like driving on ice?
3/4 of the track was dry and they pitted for inters after a couple of laps Rosberg v verstappen. Rosberg went off line onto the water so it was a straight forward pass. Hamilton turned the engine down when he had a 6 second lead early on. I like the cars but Sunday afternoons are boring |
