Felipe Massa Just a hunch that he may have had a confidence boost in Australia so I think he's overpriced ..... I wont be on betfair when P3 takes place so hope for an early profit ... In the later conditions on Friday he was P3 so hopefully similar conditions will see further improvement .....

3rd Practice Session -  Felipe Massa    24
Overall Qual. Winner - Felipe Massa    25
Malaysian GP - Winner -  Felipe Massa 29
Qual/Winner Double -  Any Other Combination 7.4

www.Formula1.com
Ferrari
Fernando Alonso, 1m 37.319s, P4/1m 36.985s, P4
Felipe Massa, 1m 37.771s, P7/1m 36.661s, P3
Alonso and Massa were both buoyed by the fact that the F138 worked well in all conditions and thus underlined the promise that it showed during the winter tests. They were fast, and feel optimistic that they will be in the fight in qualifying and on Sunday afternoon.

Good Luck all ,,,,,,,,

Good call regarding Massa for qually and unlucky! Surely Massa is an each way bet to nothing for the race tomorow? Starting P2, hope he gets ahead of Vettel in to turn 1 and then vettel keeps alonso behind him... It's a lot harder for Ferrari to dictate team orders to Alonso's favor then if their is a Red Bull between the two of them!

[Kimi Raikkonen/b] penalty

[b]Lotus’s Kimi Raikkonen will drop three places on the grid for Sunday’s 2013 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix after stewards decided he had impeded Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg during qualifying in Kuala Lumpur.

Raikkonen had finished seventh fastest in the rain-hit Sepang session, but will now start the race from tenth, meaning McLaren’s Jenson Button, Force India’s Adrian Sutil and Sergio Perez in the second McLaren all move up a place to seventh, eighth and ninth respectively.

The stewards found that Rosberg, who qualified sixth, had been unnecessarily hindered by Raikkonen between Turns 12 and 15.
Report Colldogg March 23, 2013 10:58 PM GMT
Thinking about the race more in depth and looking at the weather forecasts, it does seem like we will have more rain. With rain that immediately puts me off Massa who only seems to be able to drive around interlargos in the wet and nowhere else!

There are so many ifs and buts to be lumping on from a betting point of view. However, if you told me it was going to be a warm dry race then I would be lumping on Raikkonen at 9.2 because he was always in control in the race. From practice in Malaysia it would not surprise me if the race went a very similar way to Melbourne. Ferrari have flattered to deceve a bit this weekend too. It looks certain they both would be a lot lower down the top 10 had it not been for the rain so what will their race pace be like?

I will hold back until in the 30mins before the race and I have a much better idea about what the weather is going to do Happy

For once we actually had a race in the real sense of the word. Like a lot of people I gave up watching F1 many years ago as its now seems like just a display of science and technology. Usually best just to watch the first and last laps and miss out the dreary 90 minute procession in the middle.
A strange event which gives a start to  the best bloke, who then usually skips round the first corner and race over.
Chapeau to Ecclestone who must be a marketing genius to get the media to convince the world that F1 is exciting and glamorous which it ceased to be many years ago.
One of the strange things I find about F1 though is that it's actually very interesting to read about but now desperately boring to watch.
Interesting as well last week that Raikkonen started 7th on the grid and still won, but actually won because after moving up to 4th he stopped less times than the others.
Report larry grayson March 24, 2013 4:02 PM GMT
Ignore the hype and promotion and there's not much there. A bit like the Emperor's new clothes. F1 is now in reality a poor relative of other motor sports for excitement.
Speedway also suffers that the first bloke round the corner usually wins but at least the race only lasts about a minute and there's about 15 races to watch on the card.

surely (a coded version if necessary) of "Lewis you are running low on fuel. Let Rosberg passed" would solve that. Not sure what his last couple of laptimes were but they were sloooow

Brawns view seemed to be no danger in front no danger behind why jeopardise a deffo 3rd and 4th when they can coast home. Considering Lewis struggles to drive slower to manage his tires (even though he knows its faster) and Vettel couldnt live with second place and took risks, there is always a possibility of lewis eaking out a bit more then rosberg eaks out a bit more then lewis does then one or both dont finish. Its easier to not allow in-team racing after the last pit stop and stick to that rule however silly it becomes.

Im not defending this though, common sense says to me, let rosberg go and hope one of the front two have a spin or something that gives the team an extra few points. Then tell Lewis he needs to look after his car better.
