Great first PPV to start the year, and should round off a good week.

There are a few decent fights for a Conor undercard, given there are hardly any fans.

Had 20pts on Dustin when he opened at 15/8 with 365. Well played me Laugh

I can't see why he's just drifting when I think 15/8 was too big, so had to have another 10pts @ 11/4 doubled with Leon Edwards (13th March) @ 29/20.

Might have another 10pts on here if he keeps drifting. I just don't think Dustin should be the underdog given the last 4 years.

Apart from what I consider to be an old Cerrone, Conor has had more fights in pubs than anywhere else.

Since Dustin moved up to 155., and Dustin has a substantially stronger record. I can give him a pass for Johnson, and outside that he has only lost to Khalabeeb since going back up.

Chandler v Hooker should be good, but just going to watch that, or may put Hooker in a treble with Pena & Poirier.

In fact, have chucked 1pt on that @ 16/1 with Patrick.

Didn't hear about it, so will have to defer to Mr Hooker's thoughts on it.

Obviously didn't want the fight, as Dan has brooms thicker than that boy Laugh

I'm finding this Conor comeback weird. he was saying he was retired for quite a few months last year. I wonder who caved on their financial demands; the UFC or Conor?

He was just pissed off because he wanted to fight again in March, and obviously things get shut down, so no chance Dana can put him on a card at the Apex.

Always been prone to tantrums, whenever things don't go his way, but Dana lets him do it, because it's all readies in Dana's back pocket at the end of the day.

Dustin has been fighting top tier opposition since he lost to Conor and moved up to 155.

Outside his two title fights (all time great performances), he's had more fights in the pub, than he has had in the octagon/ring.

His best performance in the last few years is against a Cowboy who looks about ready to go into TV, and you can look at Dustin's opponents, who are all savages.

Rountree will likely be marked now, as he was supposed to get that guy out of there, and out of the UFC Laugh

Tried subbing his crown jewels there, lol.

Left this alone, but that looks a reasonable shout if he can get his hands on him.

Impressive defence from Tavares there, though.

Was threatening to finish him all the way through. Sanchez's nose was **** early doors from what they said.

I've just been eating, but I'm a fat ****, so it takes me an hour Laugh

Given their respective activity over the fast few years, he should be, imo.

At worst I think it should be even money the pair.

Dustin been tearing up the lightweights, and Conor been tearing up the bus pass brigade.

Conor might well light him up in the first again, but these are 2 different fighters from that f/weight bout.

Not sure what happened there.

Not robbed. Didn't do a lot apart from the 2nd round, and other guy was much more active, even though he didn't do a lot either.

Calderwood should be beating her handily. Sets herself up for the mother of all hidings now, though.

Is Conor McGregor not the most over rated sports person in the world

Seriously he in just an average fighter who has been hyped to death by himself and the UFC

somehow McGregor through sheer luck and brazenness has managed to convince the world that he is the equivalent of Bruce Lee..

the reality is that hes been comprehensively beaten in 3 of his last 6 fights... he is just a mediocre talent if you ask me .

when it comes down to it .. his win record is nothing special .. he has beaten a bunch of ordinary fighters on the way up .. but when it comes to elite level competition  he just doesn't have it .

No doubt the UFC will now come up with excuse and will handpick another journeyman to knock out ..

McGregor will then say that he is the greatest of all time .. its all a con job .. hes been found out

He is the Donald Trump of MMA

Wow Bardo seething sounded like you did your nuts? Colin is a top fighter but you have to respect the sport and drinking partying and doing lots of class A aint productive. Plus a lot of stuff he is dealing with mentaly out of the ring.
Colin on his A game top fighter but you cant not live the life in Ufc and boxing and get away with it.

Chers, bob. Was a great win, and he'll be glad to have gotten that one back. Sets it up for a 3rd fight before they're done, too.

Conor won the first round, as well. Think he summed it up well in his interview afterwards, that you can't overcome activity and Dustin had a superb gameplan.

Dustin took away Conor's biggest asset with the kicks, his mobility. Got him moving backwards and hit him with a great shot.

As for is Conor the most overrated sports person in the world. No, he's not, bardo.

He's far from a mediocre talent, as his resumé shows you. Keep seething, though Laugh

Good call Timmy. I did not see that outcome coming. Wonder what's next for McGregor. Hooker or Chandler perhaps.  The fear factor's certainly gone.
By:
TimmyRiggins
When: 24 Jan 21 20:39
Cheers, sofa. Don't think there has been a fear factor since the Diaz fight.

Unless you're unable to avoid taking a position, he's clearly a top tier athlete, and going to be in the HoF.

However, Dustin is in the fight game, and all in. Conor has so many other distractions, even though he's no doubt 100% dedicated when he's in camp for a fight, you can't help but think the guys that need this, are living the life 365 days a year.

Diaz will be his last fight, as it doesn't matter what happens before that. He has indicated he wants a 3rd, so that might be a shout if he can get a win against someone else in the top 5.
