Some real 'wana watch fights' tonight but my betting gut is telling me to just sit back, watch and enjoy. Don't think that's gona happen though Scared
I've also started paying alot of attention to the OM guys that preview these fights online, and they're on a heluva run...i may follow them tonight on some of their tips. I have no affiliation but if any ufc gamblers want proper information they seem to do a tight job, imho.

I like Masvidal at the odds and from his interviews with Hardy online his tactics are definitely to keep the distance, strike on the outside, to the body, and sprawl when needed. This game plan is not rocket science but i guess the question is can he execute 'that' gameplan, from a marauding  zombie like Askren? i'm not sure but the price on Masvidal makes me feel it's worth the risk (2/1)

in the Jones' fight, Jones wins for me but if Thiago Santos has any chance it's his power knock-out that's gona do it and i'd take him  in a small interest bet at  6/1 to win by Ko/tko/dq.

Another chance i give is Blachowitz at 3.2 to beat Rockhold, his Chin is weaker than a Jenga stack and i fancy Blach to hold his own on the ground and the feet. I see a war-type fight here and not sure if Rockhold has 'that' in hm as before.

Any interests or bets out there for you ?

Anyone have a decent online stream for this?  Looks like a good card alright.

wow, had a decent profitable night. had other smaller bets that hit too. masv by ko and Gadehla by points. nunes fight not to go to 5th (at 8/13) seemed big to me, and nunes by Ko/tko seemed value. great card and nice to book solid wins.

Pretty unfair on Holly. Nunes is not a woman.

Jon Jones was a little underwhelming. I'd love to see him against Johnny Walker

look at holly's physique and tell me it's unfair if you catch my drift. nunes is just that good.

Yeah, just a phenomenal fighter.

Nunes isn't marketed very well by the UFC at all. I don't think Dana is very into her
By:

When: 12 Jul 19 17:46
That would be valid before the Rousey fight, but Dana is a businessman. He has pushed her much more in the aftermath of that, and he knows the game.

Best IFW card I've been to, absolutely superb card.

Bird I was there with thought Askren was actually dead, he was flat out for that long Laugh

Why isn't she well known then? She's beaten everyone; Rousey, Cyborg, Holm... But still the UFC are so luke warm on her

The Askren stoppage was so brutal, what an epic moment. "Chat sh.t get banged" sums it up nicely

UFC is still a bit of a niche organisation, a case of if you know, you know.

Nunes is a star now, and her stock will continue to rise over the coming years, as she's unlikely to lose, after a patchy start to her career.

You have to remember that her early record was quite mixed, so the circumstances weren't there for her to be an instant megastar. Unlike Rousey, who was part of a perfect storm.

As for Askren, it was comedy. Mate of mine who is very much a casual MMA fan was whining to me when were at dinner before I flew home 'That was out of order, why did he need to do that?', 'Should just be respectful'.

I was shattered, and he'd been eating cakes from the dispensary all day, so I just told him to look up the history and he might be able to see why he got the afters. Same as Bisping from Hendo, lol.

Askren has taken the defeat well to be fair to him. He did so much talking beforehand, but he hasn't shyed away in defeat. So Timmy, when are we seeing Conor fight next?

Yeah, best way to go about it, and definitely endears you to (most) fans in the aftermath. Rousey and the Diaz brothers are the only ones who just make themselves look like twats when they lose.

I wouldn't have a clue, to be honest. Though he shouldn't get one, they could give him a rematch with Khabib, or Poirier if he beats him, as he beat Dustin.

Diaz fight is unlikely to be next, as that's one they can do even if Conor loses another 2 fights, and one he'll probably like to keep in his pocket for a swansong payday, and they all know that.

Kavanagh said that Conor wants to fight this year, so I'd imagine that they might try and bang him on the NY card in Vegas, or maybe the November MSG?

They could get him fighting one of the cutmen, and it would sell out, due to casualsLaugh

So it will be NY MSG in November, most likely the Khabib rematch?

and fully agree, Rousey did herself zero favours when she took losses. you've got to own your losses otherwise they will define you

If Khabib comes through his fight against Dustin in Abu-Dhabi, and terms are agreed, maybe.

I wouldn't want to predict where he'll turn up next, as he seems to spend most of his time bowling around with a bottle of Proper 12 in his paw.

MSG or the NY card against one of those might happen, if their fight is a one sided early finish. However, that doesn't look likely given the match-up.

Ronda was great for the women's game, and they've all got a lot to thank her for. If that perfect set of circumstances hadn't manifested, it wouldn't be what it is now.

It's fighting, nobody is going to be undefeated forever. Made it all the more irritating when she stuck her head up her ass for a year, rather than just doing what AJ/Askren/Conor did when they lost.

One final question Timmy. who's the man to dethrone Jon Jones from his perch as "the best active UFC fighter in the world"?
By:
TimmyRiggins
When: 13 Jul 19 13:43
Honestly think that Jon Jones is the only one who can beat Jon Jones.

A super freak, in a family of freak athletes.

Would like to see the Santos rematch, given what transpired so early in this fight. However, I think Jones and his savant brain would beat him handily again.

Think you'll get your wish in 2020.

Will want to secure his legacy as the GOAT GOAT.

i know he got clipped and was not at his historical best Jones, but even he insinuates in interviews, he just does enough to win now. I was more impressed with Jone's footwork and distance/range than anything else, and how he controls a fight with those things alone, more so now as he ages.

Some ''betting card'' coming up this weekend, have not seen as many coin-flip fights on the one card, in a looong while.

It helped that Santos had one leg after 5 minutes.

Might be interesting to see if they run it back in the future.

Once he goes for two belts, you might see some more chaos. Like to see him try dancing around Francis, or stopping Stipe from taking him down.
