surely has to be the biggest heavyweight title fight in years, is ngannou's hype justified, or will stipe's experience and wrestling be the edge. ngannou has the advantage of having fought very recently and took no damage in his KO of the year outing vs overeem, and his confidence seems on another level.

Cormier was very ploddish early. Someone with big power would have knocked him out in the opening 90 seconds there. DC was very impressive once he got it into a wrestling situation, smoothered Oezdemir. won easy from there.

so apparently it came out after the fight that ngannou didn't train any grappling at all, literally none, very dubious about his coaches who let him do that. it's just insane that in this day and age that belt contenders are doing stupid things like that.
