props to bisping for stepping in for anderson silva, the card probably would of been cancelled otherwise. that being said gastelum is a pretty bad match up for him, iron chin, great cardio, fast, young. good wrestling, huge power in his hands. have to take gastelum at anything above 1.5. he's 1.67 on betway atm...
excited to see zabit back. fantastic debut, he's one to keep an eye on in this division.
Bisping only just fought, surely this is a very bad idea?
seems like it, he probably has been boozing etc. still im sure he's in shape but he took a decent amount of damage. gastelum is a horrible match up for him. great wrestling, good pace. big power, and a very skilled striker. granite chin.. much younger, has had a full training camp...
gastelum opening at 1.64 betsafe, 1.61 at a couple other places.. I'm hammering that line. this is one of my favourite lines this year. definitely my biggest bet of the year so far. simply cannot see that line holding on kelvin.
Bisping is a trier, but this seems bonkers taking this fight on such short notice.
It's a no brainer for Bisping though... he wins, and he's back in the limelight and demanding a rematch with GSP... he loses, can easily blame the short turnaround, picks up a nice pay packet for saving the card and could well retire into the distance with a position behind the scenes for the UFC (probably UFC Europe) to continue to grow the sport over here.
yeah it makes sense money wise. he's been talking a lot about his retirement fight wanting it to be in london next march.

He's going to retire in March after fighting in London. I don't think it's a smart decision to take this fight now. He's not super young. He needs to give his body time to recover.
bisping was talking about him eating and drinking a lot after the gsp fight, 2 weight cuts in a couple of weeks can't be good for you.
depends how you cut the weight, but the UFC method definitely takes a toll on the body
at bispings age too. I dont think he will have a problem making the weight but they are still terrible for your body.
it just clicked that this event is this weekend! Bisping is a crazy man!
If he is set to retire in March 2018 then why not get another pay day before and be a hero to the fans for saving a card.

Bisping really shouldn't have taken that fight. It was so low profile. What do you think?
There was a slight delay with the TV coverage as they were taking out the bad language so must have had time to edit it. Not sure if any of the books were following the tv coverage and we're behind as well in running.
