What is the formatting code used on these forums called?

Enter your data in a spreadsheet and and insert a blank column (a) before your first column of data, (b) between each column of data, and lastly (c) after your last column of data.

Then use the pipe character to fill in the new columns you've created like this.....



Then you need to highlight the cells (including the ones with pipe characters to the left or right) you want to include for your table and then click on 'Copy'.

Go to the 'post reply' box and right click in the box then click on the 'Paste' option.

Press 'post reply' and you should eventually see something like this...

I don't think the code you may need is supported by this Forum.

Only solution I can suggest is to go to your spreadsheet and format the cell(s) background colour and then highlight the required cells and save as a .png file.

Then you can open it as an image in something like Microsoft Paint, save it then upload it on here via the 'insert photo' option below the 'post reply' box.
