Great games yesterday.Mayo were unluckey again.Didnt have a GAA bet in years. The new rules are good for the game.Fancy anything in Ascot tomorrow Kelly?

Field of Gold. Not very original , but impressed by Curragh victory.

The new rules are proving very popular , particularly with the 2 pointer aspect especially if there is an end to end wind . Reckon they should increase a goal to 4 points in view of relative ease of scoring points as defenders are not allowed to carry out anything approaching an old fashioned "tackle".
Some great matches / finishes so far , but it has become very expensive to follow your team throughout their campaign. Attendances bearing this out . |

Explosive performance by Field of Gold . He was over 3/1 on here early today to win by a length or more .

Well done Kelly good horse. In the 5.00 nurburgring and comfort zone should out run they odds.I dont fancy the top 3 at the top of the market in the 5.00.

Great call , cloone . Josephs horses are all running well today, hope you won a few bob on your fancies .

interesting that Dublin footballers have an advantage over Cork in the football with the match in Croke Park
but i reckon Croker will play more to Limerick's strengths than the Dublin hurlers, alternative venues could have Tullamore, Port Laois or Nowlan Park |
|
By:
Dublin hurlers would need more than a help from Croker to challenge Limerick .Football Dubs playing any remaining matches in Croke Park a big bonus .
|
|
By:
Limerick unbelievably below par today against Dublin . Dubs played great despite losing their captain to a harsh red card . Opens up the hurling with the favs out .

I think Tipp will beat KK
KK are likely to win the first half, wouldnt have a bet until breeze was worked out But they really do hit a flat spot in the second half V Dublin and v Galway Tipp's one bad result this season was with 14 men for 70 mins Backing Tipp outright (or Kk for that matter) comes with the bonus of the Dubs catching out Cork Dubs team has clearly moved on from Parnell Park and pace suits the open spaces, will suit Cork also mind The match between the 2 last year would have been way tighter but for Dubs missing a few pointable frees Cork are probably at the same level but inconsistent Dubs have clearly improved |

Liam Rushe made a valid point that Dublin didnt concede any soft goals on Saturday, a problem that plagued them all season
Brian Hayes(Cork) was outstanding in the early matches but Limerick coped with his physical presence Dublin will need to cope with him, because he will cause havoc if allowed |
|
By:
Was surprised Alan Connolly got man of the match over Hayes, he indeed caused havoc (was ideally positioned on the Hill to view proceedings
Wasnt as much between the teams as the margin suggests (first half, Dublin hit crossbar and were fouled in buildup to one of the Cork goals) Cork played as a team, Dublin at times played like individuals bottom line was the Dublin full back line were afraid of the Cork forwards, and Hayes and Connolly finished beautifully |

Still fancy Kerry , Donegal have yet to unearth a top scoring forward , whereas Kerry have several.
Result will probably involve the prowess of the 2 Cliffords, Paudie makes them tick , David destroys . Donegal tactic will be to try to blunt them , think this might result in a fairly low scoring match. Weather might also have a say , Kerry like good weather conditions. |

By:
kavvie , I think Donegal will employ negative tactics to blunt the potentially high scoring Kerry forwards . So I would not be betting on the handiap market. I am hoping for an open game in accordance with the revised rules , but the weather may be a big factor , so holding off until I see Sunday DV.

Kerry had too much football ability to lose . They won without the need for a standout performance from David Clifford , who a relatively quiet match by his standards. Donegal lost 2 forwards early in the match , think it affected them.
Hard to believe that Kerry touched around 5/1 on here on the outright market around the quarter final stage . |
