If Limerick and Cork draw on Sunday, Clare are out with both teams on 4
Independently, if Tipp and Waterford draw :
Waterford will be on 3 with Cork to play
Tipp on 4 and clear of Clare
Winners of Limerick v Cork on 5 and clearly clear
Losers of Limerick v Cork and catchable but only if they fail to get another point or they are overtaken by Clare should they beat Limerick on score difference
conclusion
Clare would benefit more if Cork beat Limerick well and to a lesser extent if Waterford beat Tipp
Their target to overturn Limerick is 2 points to 1 compared to overhauling Cork
Were they to overhaul either they would surely overhaul Tipp if Tipp were also on 3pts
in the case of overtaking Limerick, Clare would need Waterford to beat Tipp to keep them at 3pts or Tipp and Cork to beat Waterford to keep them at 2pts
in the case of overtaking Cork, Clare would need Cork to lose both matches by a few unless Clare batter Limerick

Tipp beat Waterford to wualify
Limerick 15 up on Cork at HT, so safe to assume Limerick will qualify Winners of Cork and Waterford take the last place with Clare out as it stands, draw and it is Cork to progress in 3rd Cork would need to win next week and keep the score difference quiet in this second half and strong v Waterford to make the final They badly need to qualify but might not be too bothered if Tipp take their place in the final Waterford cant make the final, but can still upset the applecart |

Limerick v Clare is not relevant unless Lumerick get hammered which is unlikely
Cork qualify for the final if they beat Waterford They qualify in 3rd if they draw which would be cutting it fine Waterford get 3rd if they win, meaning Limerick play Tipp in the final Cork may not necessarily want a rematch in the final but the alternatives of going out or a tougher route to the final will appeal less Meanwhile, in Leinster Galway and Dublin battle it out in Parnell Park to see who plays Kilkenny in the Leinster Final |

The forgotten men in Munster are the Limerick hurlers. None of them figured on the All Star team , despite their record over the year , particularly when they destroyed Cork . Still puzzling over their exit .
