Then I ve stumbled on a new Irish sport, absolutely brilliant.

Road bowling,a cross between cricket and kick a ball run.

Could well of delveloped from the tarmacing  industry,Irish being world leaders in this.

Serious stuff. Looks great.

Speaking last week, Burns said the price to amalgamate the GAA with the Ladies Gaelic Football (LGFA) and Camogie Associations (CA) would be considerable.
GAA president Jarlath Burns  “It's going to cost over half a billion as an association to do that.”

It would probably cost upwards of Euro 200 million to integrate road bowling. LaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

Apart from potential disruption to traffic , road bowling is a good way to while away a few hours at little cost , and it probably gives an opportunity to some to get involved in sporting activity . The only people who would object to it are other road users , but I suspect that they suffer less disruption than we motorists do weekly in Belfast with "parades" and pointless marching commemorations . And cone/digging activity .
