Racing and Bloodstock enthusiasts

Inspired by frank60's recent topic I believe the reason for the demise of this Forum has been the rise of Social Media and a certain amount of internal incivility and bickering. In my experience the replacement is considerably worse with Twitter transformed into an absolute cesspit and Facebook being populated by many "racing groups" but many are run by tipsters masquerading as "fans".

If you accept the primary goal of any diverse group must be civility and decency then read on...

If there is sufficient interest from forum members - at least 25-40 positive replies - I would propose to establish a private WhatsApp group that could cover such diverse topics as racing, betting, breeding, group excursions, travel, stable visits, syndication and any other topics of interest. Hopefully a like-minded group of men and women from Ireland and the UK might find the idea attractive.

I'll check back is a week or two to see if the concept is dead at birth or whether it has some community interest whereby initial emails could be exchanged with an email address I could create. All welcome.

Needless to say, if you have nothing good to say, don't bother.
