Delighted for Seamus . A slow burner for sure and at first I thought he was just going to be a low level journeyman -happy to be dead wrong. He has all the shots -long drives , excellent short game and bunker play . Now he has established himself his head is in the right place and he won't lack for confidence when he gets into close contention. The Ryder Cup seems to be important to him -hope he makes it.
Leona fizzled out a bit second half of the season but it still has been a good year and I fully expect her to make an impact in '23 although it will be tough going against all these Asian players flooding on to the scene

Magic stuff from Seamus again this week -tied 3rd at 18 under par ...a cheque for about $380,000 , up to 29th in the world rankings and  no.1 in the Fed Ex cup points table.

Good strong start for SP for the '23 season. 8 birdies in first round and well up in a tough field. Apparently guaranteed
$200,000 even if he finishes last.
Expect the usual news blackout from Irish radio + tv stations unless he wins ...in which case they'll have to try to squeeze in a mention between hourly bulletins on Sexton's jaw and any GAA player's knee injury and prospects for the Championship.

To be fair, RTE radio gave him a decent mention this morning. That aside, great to see Seamus mixing it with some of the best in the game. Super player.

I laid him yesterday and thought for most of the round I'd done my money , some finish by Muts 6 birdies in the final 6 holes. Hopefully he puts a good round together today and finishes with a flourish ....

Another top 20 for seamus yesterday in a top class field, deserves his place in top table, bit like Pod, hard worker, played well at Augusta last year, top 10 bet in April 2nd time round, up the deise.
