Unbelievable performance to lead the way in the Solheim Cup win vs USA.

Hard to believe that she is the first Irish professional lady golfer   to figure on the European team  , but she did us proud .

Mind you , she has been playing brilliantly all year , with top 10 finishes nearly every tournament she has played recently .

Maith thu Leona , and as she said in her interview on Sky  "you can't beat the Irish".

What Leona has achieved is simply amazing. From being the world amateur No.1 for several years she has stormed into the professional game and made a huge mark already with Ryder Cup stardom and a win on the PGA tour . It took the world no. 1 to prevent her winning a second title and a cool $2million. Even so she has won a cartload of greenbacks and soared up to world no.11. all in the space of a year. It's not fanciful to think she can nail a major over the next two or three years.
Hopefully the champion from Cavan can inspire other Irish women to advance into the upper echelons of golf.
It might help if ladies golf got even 10% of the publicity that female boxing gets.

Leona has been a great ambassador for womens golf thers no doubt Vubiant but theres no substitute for raw talent, Irish boxing seems to have plenty raw talent add that to top coaching is our secret to our success.   Ireland women won 8 medals at the resent european championships including 3 gold medal was incredible, Long may it continue

Boxing not high on my list of sports to watch , but over the years our boxers have done brilliantly at all levels , male and now female too .

The lady golfers have not performed at the same level as their male counterparts , not sure why as there are loads of opportunities for them , have been for a long time .

Great to see Leona last week toe to toe with Lydia , even though Leona was struggling with her swing in her last round . Think she banked about 600k by finishing second  , well done .

Leona continues to impress . After a few quiet months she adds a second LPGA victory . Hermain ambition now a Major win . If it doesn't happen this year I reckon she'll haveperhaps 15 to 20 good tries -with 5 women's majors a year.
It's only going to get harder and harder as the conveyor belt of hot youngsters continues to roll -especially from Asia with their huge population.
On the other hand look at Rory last week -he beats Scheffler , Rahm , Koepka and all the top ranked players -and then gets done by a guy who only won his first PGA event 6 weeks before and whose major record was --played 6, missed 4 cuts and a best finish of 75th !
Can see Rory being a big factor at the Open though.

Leona wins in London with a savage eagle at the last -such skill and nerve. First Irish woman to win as a professional on the European tour.
Not a bad way to warm up for a major in France next week .
