While it may not register with some of the crypto-sexist caveman types who may lurk in our midst (Grin) -Leona Maguire must get formal forum recognition  for her brilliant result in the latest LPGA event in Hawaii.
Though effectively still in her rookie year on tour -she has clocked up some highly promising performances . Today saw her finish tied 2nd on 21 under par -finishing ahead of a host of former major winners and world no.1s.
She signed off  with a flourish with an eagle at the last and pockets a cheque for 126,000 dollars. Should do her share to keep Irish sport to the 'fore ' on the world stage.
Also well done to Shane Lowry who had another high finish today and looks to be playing to a higher level of late after a quiet spell. Chances of getting  into the Ryder Cup team greatly increased.

Has kept up the gallop all year ,Leona . Peaked these last 3 days in the Solheim Cup where she looked the most complete golfer of the 24 on show .

Take a bow Leona .
