Having a good season generally even with all the limitations. But the 2 y o division looks quite mediocre so far. It's hard to believe he can't come up with a runner in the Cheveley Park and his sole entry in the Middle Park is a moderate outsider. Some come down from when he'd usually have the favourites or second favourites for both. Where's Battleground - looked promising with 2 wins but not seen in 2 months ? Injured ? One that looked good in winning on debut is High Definition. Hopefully this one can progress towards the top with a good display in the Beresford. He'd better have a few dark horses /late developers in the yard or else the Classics 2021 are out of reach. I'll be delighted to be proved wrong -perhaps he'll whip a few rabbits out of the hat yet.
His two sons are getting the cream now, both firing in massive winners . Its surely only a matter of time before he regains full control though, he's a master...

Well things are looking up . High Definition confirmed the impression of his debut with an extraordinary win in the Beresford. Had the worst draw and was last into the straight but thundered down the outside of a smart field to actually win going away. Quoted Derby fav now. To add to the brightening picture Santa Barbara ( by Camelot) looked smart on her debut when sauntering home in the opener. prospects immeasurably improved. Now for Love next w/e.

What a crock of crap the Arc turned out to be. AOB had a whole bunch of horses who could have beaten Sottsass on known form. OK , Sottsass a high class consistent horse but not a stand out champion. Eminently beatable ( won 1 of his last 5 races before today.) Only upside is Aidan has some fresh horses now for Ascot , Breeders Cup and other end of season Gr.1s Maybe this crazy topsy turvy season can go out with a bang. Great to see an Irish 1-2 in the Prix de l'Opera.
