That Conners lad from LISTOWEL carded a 4-under-par 68 during yesterday's open qualifier into the Valero Texas Open, and then he survived a 6-for-1 playoff to seal his spot in the main event.

Btw, last October Corey Conners married his long-time girlfriend Malory Martin (she's a local 'convent' girl I believe). Corey has two sisters, Nicole and Sarah. Nicole is his twin sister.
The Listowel native is signed up with Chubby Chandler’s ISM sports agency and has already played AUGUSTA NATIONAL a number of times - in 2015 as an Amateur, using a local caddy to get to know the place, shot 80, 69 (+5) to MC - but a smart lad is Conners. IF, he wins this week he'll be a very interesting debutant down magnolia lane !... now a 33/1 shot, if you haven't backed him already at 260 on here  Bet they're happy members down in Listowel Golf Club @lgc1920 this evening. There must be close-ish Irish connections. Irish golf authorities should target CC with invitations - would be great media story to get him over. maybe JP could get him to come for the next big Pro-Am in 2020.
