Saturdays Fairyhouse meeting is back on today, very tricky card to me, the one bet i did over the weekend was Get Out Of Jail ew,i thought he would be suited by the rise back up in trip, for the same race and field he was 5 and 6/1 then, and cannot justify having a bet now at around 3/1.

Back to last weekend again Renneti ran in the G1 in Saint Cloud, beaten about 15l i still thought i was watching something extradinory, he was sprinting the last furlong, some enigma,i presume he will have a hurdle campaign, wonder could he be aimed at The Stayers?

Any Corkies interested in a NH season preview ft J. O'Brien,Russell,Townend,Codd amongst others should make their way down to the Silver Springs this Thurs (free), contact Mallow racecourse first (email; rsvp@corkracecourse.ie or phone 022 50207).

Decs in, will post again later.

Pa,  Going to Fairy,Christ know why! I just might just Dutch Keane and Smullen's mounts and see what happens.Mate of mine has a runner in first so will be nice to catch up,otherwise I really should go and have a round of golf, but after my useless showing yesterday 26pts off 18 I doubt many would want to play with me...Blush. Maybe I might get out of jail...Laugh

I wish i had a strong fancy there WR, Get Out Of Jail will be thereabouts alright, only other one v small bet i did was No Approval ew 3.45 @ 10/1, i liked his run at Mallow,he finished with running but a furlong less isn't what i wanted to see, suppose Navan stiff enough,16 run maiden all the same and for the purpose of the thread probably better bets tommorrow.
Have a good day there.

First thought to swerve Fairyhouse was right, No Approval was stone last,Get Out of Jail was a bit disappointing though plugged on for a place behind easy winner Les Arceaux.

Aunty Audrey 4.10 Navan
She came on my radar on her Gowran run and duly obliged at Cork where she did it well and showed no signs of her previous greenness. Up 8lb im hoping she is improving, still only on a mark of 53.
Tennesse Waltz(Killian Leonard) and What Wonders Weave would be my idea of dangers,
With a lot of dead wood in the race have to be disappointed if she doesn't at least place, with Ask Katie and Cadrelli running today very likely going to be fair r4 on overnight prices.

No bet but interested to see how Maarek gets on in the first, good c and d run last time but you wonder would it struggle in a 45-65.

Anyone fancy anything?

I'm concentrating on the last 2 races today.

Fancy Val De Ferbet to be in the vanguard throughout and hopefully be good enough, ran well enough behind Kalopsia on easy ground at Tipp earlier in the year.

Espoir D'soliel not a very original choice but has some solid back to back runs in the bank and I think will be too good for these.

I fancy a Weld double there today Punchestown, Tashman an unreliable sort, must surely win what is a poor race, although something about the horse tells me he's keeping something for himself, and I concur with your view re Espoir D'soliel.

I'm stunned with what happened Fayonagh, she rightly had a bit of a fan club on here and easily the horse i was most looking forward to this season, tough on connections who had a really lovely horse.

Thanks Cloone,Grand Partner is entered in a lot higher class over the weekend, ought to run well but different race, leopardstown a plus if he takes it up,we'll see. Same connections had one in that 4.45 and was hoping it would run(entered again over weekend) maybe the likes of Joey Salsa and a few others made him hold tough.
I like doing the nh horses over flat ones on extreme ground this time of the year and the spring when they have a fitness advantage, Val de Ferbet is the class act there alright,Charlie Stouts beating of Lagostovegas over hurdles doesn't read too shabby either though,a fair value selection alright.

I joined ye with Espoir D'soleil, can't dispute her solid look.

Best of luck with selections.

Maarek Blush

Even after the 1st any jock that doesn't come down the centre should be ashamed of themselves, far rail looks dead.

It might need time Pa, not quite sure of its action, on the other hand some of these Aga horses are simply useless.

Bit of a rough passage in the straight didn't help Aunty Audrey today, ran a decent enough race all the same.

Cloone River, reckon you were unlucky Charlie Stout didn't collect, with the winner you made a great call on the race.

Yes Punch, she won't have won but looking as if she is an ew horse for the future with ease,no damage done.

Tashman was v tired at the finish, Stoic Soul despite being on the far rail ran on,promising debut and hopefully see it again before the season finishes.

C'mon Pat, the Irish forum Navan thread is depending on you.

2/1 shot ESPOIR D'SOLEIL (for Dermot Weld/Pat Smullen) in the 5.20 translates as Ray of Sunshine...and yes Pa, the Orish Forum needs it badly.
