See the first is a CHARITY race with former jockeys Norman Williamson, Mick Kinane, Brendan Sheridan, Paul Carberry & Charlie Swan back in the saddle (Ahem, on the racecourse).

By:
MJ Kinane for AP O'B
also in addition to Catch Me's post Arthur Moore, C'O'Dwyer amongst others and most importantly as mentioned Stormin Norman![]() |
By:
The books have it 5/2 each - Pallasator (Norman Williamson for Elliott) vs Monksland (Paul Carberry for Meade)

A star-studded event with some of the greats of both codes in a race put on in memory of former National Hunt jockey John Shortt who lost his battle with cancer in February, aged 53. Before he died he purchased a plot of land on which to build a family home for his wife, Anne Marie, and daughter Alex, and the race will be raising funds towards that goal.
By:
Isn't Pallasator a tricky ride? I'm sure Norman's had worse.

3.10 is a 25 runner handicap, bad enough but a fair few in good current form as well.
I think pps 16/1 is a bit big despite the huge field. Not sure he handled that desperate ground at Gowran and hope this is more like what he is better at, thought he travelled well still that day. Only watched the replays today but the 1st 2 Mcmanus horses were obviously imp, as was A Sizing Network who jumped like a buck. |

By:
Sorry, Line Out 3.10
By:
Petit Mouchoir looked the part today lads, im looking forward to seeing Faugheen and Douvan running again [the news seems to be good from Willie Mullins yard re injuries] plenty of other potential stars as well in other yards, roll on the winter .

I had a look at him in the paddock Frank, roughly 90% today and wanted to get on with it,buzzy sort who reminds me of UDS of Willie's. That was a race to note, first 4 out of it worth following this season.
By:
Gordon had 2 winners today...
THURSDAY sees... 1.20 Masterson, Pallasator, Tiger Roll, Presenting, Julio, Fairy Flute. 2.05 Samcro 3.10 Sanibel Island, Ben Dundee. 3.40 Death Duty 4.10 Outlander 4.45 King's Song 5.20 Felix Desjy |
By:
Some stable when you look at the horses available to him , I wonder will this be the year he's crowned Champion.
By:
Not to good catch me,not to worry. Will be backing monksland minds eye without fav, russian roulette, clara sorrento, woodland opera, and sub lieutenant. Not so sure wookrider.
By:
Tough card there today Cloone, I shall arise once again from my sickbed to attend. Just might lay John Joes fella, not sure he's the safest of jumpers. Just laid it so hoping it don't spoil my day.
By:
I agree with you about the lay.He has no head gear.
By:
Samcro worth to keep an eye on for the future, has a easy task in the 2.05 should win hard held.
By:
Minds eye not bad either in a lesser light.
I notice Nick Litmoden has a hurdler in the next at Uttoxeter. How things have changed. I honestly thought he handed in his licence a couple of seasons back. |
By:
Oh, and now i discover this is his first runner since regaining his licence.
I will be very interested to see how he goes, the man can train. |
By:
good support for his animal here.
By:
Jonjo has a nice sort there.
By:
It was "gordon" day today with 5 winners and you would be slow to against any next time.
Colossal gamble on Ben Dundee never had a moments worry. Kings Song,Pallasator,Death Duty and Felix Desjy(maybe a weak bumper) were all easy winners as well. W P Mullins conspicious by his absence, didn't he disappear for a while this time last season as well?, very probably just two different ways of training and WPM's will be geared for March,it does look as if G E is stronger than ever though. |
By:
Won the last as well PA, 6 in all..Road To Respect was impressive , Noel Meade has one to go to war against the best.
By:
Willie's down under Pa.
By:
Hard to believe of the umphteen novices that Willie has for Rich Ricci among other strong owners that not one of them was available to take on Samcro today or Cracking Smart yesterday. A case of you win with your good one this week and i'll win with my good one next week going on here me thinks.
