I was amused that the tote have decided to directly compete with bookmakers by placing a stupid advert in both the RP and racecard today showing their dividend is better than bookmaker SP
in all serious who bets at bookmaker sp anymore ffs.
the fact that all horses have been available at better prices during the preceeding 10 mins and that the SP is controlled by the major firms has to be taken into account
I noted a lot of occasions this weekend where a number of books were topping the machine.
the tote quotes outsiders but doesn't factor in the impact a small number of bets can have on their dividend whereas a 20/1 in the ring is available to a decent bet/
the tote should concentrate on the business that the books don't compete vis a vis pick 6 and jackpots
