Anyone else find it hard to get excited by the Lions tour and the over the top press coverage a turn off ?
I just cant bring myself to be bothered by it tbh.

You are not alone Desperado. How anybody can get excited watching overweight young men pushing and shoving, grunting and farting while ambling around
a field with an egg shaped baloon as the object of desire is one of the great mysteries. Then again I suppose it takes all types and Sumo wrestling isn't too blood curdliing either even if the Japs love these fat bullocks. |

All sports are silly at root - that's the point in one sense .
The serious element is that they are a substitute for war -tribal/national. The really annoying aspect is the professionalism of sport and the absurd amounts of money given to those who are competent at intrinsically ridiculous activities. |
