The horse that stands out for me here is Lord Windermere,I think he will run a huge race if taking to these fences.A former Gold Cup winner,he's been running in top class races over the years and looks to have a lovely racing weight of 10st 9lb. Sure he doesn't seem like the horse of old,but how many former G.C. winners would get that kind of weight,I think he's been let in lightly and is worth a few quid e/w.
I'll be having a few quid on the lord too, wouldn't worry about horses "taking to these fences" these days the way they've modified then has taken all the uniqueness out of the race, pretty much your average fence now, what's more worrying is avoiding trouble with 40 horses running helter skelter, I've no doubt this has been the plan for a while now and Leighton Aspell rides which can only be a positive given his national record

At 75/1 and 14/1 a place on here ,there is worse value than Windermere. Aspell the new B Fletcher around Aintree,I went over the far side to have a look at the fences 3yrs ago, and my how they have changed! the top is just a covering, once they can jump they have a chance .
