Irish Lincoln 4.10 Naas.

Once again Onenightidreamed renews his rivalry with Aussie Valentine but under the welter burden of 10-0 and another 8lbs worse of with last years 2nd it's hard to envisage Onenightidreamed reversing the form with Aussie valentine but expect both to run good races and wish Fozzy Stack the best of luck following in his fathers footsteps, don't expect much will change there, so expect his horses to all run well today. Aussie Valentine dissapointed after his 2nd to stablemate Struthan last year and hasn't performed really well at Naas in the past but does have a huge 20lbs turnaround with Marshal Jennings for 3 lengths in April on Good ground. Feel his price is a bit short, but has undoubtably been trained for today following a similar path to last year with just the one recent run at Dundalk, although i wasn't overly impressed with that run. Sikarabad was heavily backed for the Cambridgeshire last year on the strength of his maiden win but just got beaten by Sea Wolf on Good ground but had very good horses Aared, Dream Walker and Hasanour behind. Todays Soft/heavy ground may not favour either horse though. Brendan Brackan seems to run best in smaller field stakes races although does boast a win at Galway in the Topaz h'cap from 17 others a few years ago but again has a mammoth weight to carry. Anyway my pin has landed on the Unfortunate Canary Row who usually runs a decent race without winning many! Won 1st time out last year and 5th in Onenightidreamed 2015 Lincoln after veering right to the far side rail when leading 1/2 way and was still ahead 2fs out, the 1st 2 came across to the stand side rail but the Canary still held on from most of the field in 5th. Has an 18lbs pull with the winner but meets the 2nd on virtually identical terms! What sways me to Canary Row is his 2nd over C/D btn hd by Marshal Jennings last April now 9lbs better off with that horse and Aussie Valentine was 3rd over 2 lengths behind, AV is 11lbs better off today though so in theory should come out on top. Also his 3rd behind Creggs pipes at the Curragh in May reads very well trying to give the winner 1lb now rated 105 from 84 and 2nd Champagne and Water 98 from 91, think has very good chance but will back EW. 1st Canary Row 2nd Aussie Valentine There you go! |

3.10 6f h'cap.
Bubbly Bellini has won 1st time out at the curragh last 2 years from marks of 88 and 87, runs from 78 today 6lbs out of the h'cap but trainer has put up 7lb claiming apprentice to negate this, hasn't ran too badly at Dundalk recently and todays going and trip look ideal, about 9/1 has a chance imo! |
