Big priced winners are rare enough in Ireland Punchestown, agree impossible to find though it was highly tried. Odd results lately, tacky ground is weird, just seemed to stay best.

Graphic Legacy beaten a total of 204 lengths in its last 3 runs, all on easy ground Laugh

Same as Punchestown, didn't do anything wrong today, just ran into one a bit too good.
Looked a bad injury to Russells horse, hope she lives up to her name.

Looking at those results,I'm glad I didn't break my resolve and have a bet on Irish racing.First time in years I never even considered going to Punchestown.

U dont bet on irish racing wr? Just jumps or flat?
Report workrider February 22, 2017 5:11 PM GMT
Tasco, I was disgusted with a race @ Navan last Sunday and have decided not too back on Irish racing for awhile.
Report itcanbedone February 22, 2017 5:25 PM GMT
Wonks, have you considered taking a leaf out of the Suffragettes bo0k and chaining yourself to the railings at leopardstown or perhaps running onto the course at Derby time?
Report mincer11 February 22, 2017 5:35 PM GMT
Tascro, what wonky means to say is that he had his last €150 on anibale fly last Sunday and has been crying his eyes out on the main horse racing forum since
The reason he's not betting on Irish racing right now is pure and simply that he hasn't a washer and won't be getting his giro until Friday. The poor chap doesn't know where he is from gambling and has been spunking away his benefits all his life .
Not backing on Irish racing for a while my hole. It's no wonder he didn't consider going to Punchestown, no juice in the motor and getting too old to be scaling the wall

The Stewards requested a report from Edward P.Harty, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Kilfenora, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Patrick Harty, Authorised representative of Edward P. Harty reported that this animal had run three times previously but on the most recent run at Fairyhouse on the 4th February, rider Jody McGarvey suggested post race that his mount got claustrophobic when surrounded during this race and in his opinion he should be fitted with ear plugs, be ridden on the outside, be handy and be positive. He added that the advice offered was put in place today and had the desired effect. He also described the previous runs at Leopardstown and Punchestown where his charge had been ridden in mid division but had lost his position when surrounded by other horses. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
The Stewards requested a report from Mark Fahey, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Graphic Legacy, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mark Fahey reported that his charge has bad conformation of his hind legs which has made it difficult to keep him sound and in continuous training. He added that his father made special hind shoes which offered support to the outside of the hoof when being trained at home and this has made it easier to keep the animal in continuous training. He also felt that his horses may have been under a cloud at the time of his previous race as both runners on that date pulled up. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
Kilfenora will win more races when up in trip. Some excuse for improvement.

Mince,You should get out more often, have a word with the doctor! Laugh
Report mincer11 February 22, 2017 6:12 PM GMT
I thought the undertaker was going to be called for you wonks and not the doctor, the way you were carrying on all week over on the main forum. Mother of Jesus the crying was unbelievable. I was almost ashamed to be Irish reading the rubbish you were writing. If you are after doing your chips , just walk away . There's no point crying like a baby over it, people are only laughing at you mate.

cloone river, that was like a page from a "Brothers Grimm" Fairy Tale...Laugh
Report workrider February 22, 2017 7:21 PM GMT
Mince, I suppose backing in £2 like you do it would be easy for you to walk away mate, even if a guy had 50c on that race he was entitled to ask the reason why, sadly the Irish stewards stuck their heads in the sand as usual. Maybe you'd be better off sticking to slagging jockeys, you're a real pro at that.
Report olddesperado February 22, 2017 8:20 PM GMT
I think WR the problem is the stewards are afraid now .

Every ruling they make against anyone with a bit of clout is overturned so they stick to the small guy who cant afford to appeal let alone afford a barrister.

Ruby, Barry, Davey,   Just a few of those in behind in that race.

In fact all the second jocks from the big stables in there too,

Absolutley no way any action would be allowed stand after the appeal so you can almost understand the stewards "nothing to see here move along " approach.
Report workrider February 22, 2017 8:50 PM GMT
Old, that should not be the case imo, they have let them get away with loads over the years ,what happened brought Irish racing into disrepute and they should have taken the bull by the horns and banned the lot of them.As you say the small guy will be pulled and humiliated, the top guys seem to do what they want and give the stewards the finger.
Report olddesperado February 22, 2017 8:58 PM GMT
It shouldnt but it is im afraid.
Report pa lapsy February 22, 2017 10:45 PM GMT
Isn't it a fright you don't know if you are backing a horse that is scared of going into lifts or walks like Donald Duck, heaven know what other afflictions some others have.

It is plausible with the above two, still you can imagine at least one box bursting their hole laughing all the way back home.
