2.30 - Fakenham - Stowaway Magic - 10/11
These colours are becoming ubiquitous on UK racecourses and believe they have more than a dozen at Seven Barrows including Lough derg spirit (farmer), constantine bay, river wylde and percy street.
This six year old Stowaway gelding has done little wrong since winning a Liscaroll point effortlessly. Denman & Peddlers Cross are just two names that made their debut at Liscarroll and hopes are high that Stowaway Magic can follow in their illustrious hoofprints. Subsequently sold for 100k at Brightwell sales.
He is made for chasing but this strong travelling type is improving with every run over hurdles. He has only been beaten by one horse over hurdles and no comment has gone in again since. The horse that SM hammered by 15 lengths at Doncaster (4TH) has subsequently won a weak handicap with ease . The return to 20 furlongs will suit and though McGrath is a negative, naff jockeys are now part of the course with Henderson.
He looks very useful to me and think he will have Little trouble giving 10lbs to the Nicholls/JP horse who looks a handicapping project after some decent bumper form and the main danger looks to be Ckalko des Loges.
Stowaway Magic is very progressive though and there would seem to be a high probability that he will run to form and has sufficient ability to concede the weight penalties.

I'd fancy Cash Again, well fancied on hurdles debut but much too keen, managed to travel well for a long way before fading. Given an education the next time, settled out the back and stayed on well. I think tomorrow he'll be trying again with Geraghty on board (only ride at Fakenham). If only trying for a handicap mark there are much better races to run him in. Ckalco Des Loges's official rating drastically overrates him, Stowaway Magic is fair enough but if Cash Again runs to his best I think he'll win so he's a bet. The Dancing Lord (7.00 Dundalk) was a major eyecatcher last time, given an easy time of things on first start for Liam Cusack, he's a capable trainer and with the horse down to his optimum trip and well handicapped I think he's a major player at 9/1.

Thinking of heading to Sandown myself chaps but just being going throuh the card and can't say there is a huge amount that i fancy on first inspection, certainly the notebook is not full of runners that are there today. I was impressed with the Cepage a couple of runs back just has a lot of weight to carry today although not giving lumps of weight away to anyone is an obvious plus but 5's seems ok just, Corgy was going well at Cheltenham in his last chase before coming down but top weight too. I will head for a nice coffee and a read of the post and see if any inspiration comes to me before deciding to head off or not.

Weird results in Fakenham today,not a favourite mapped.
Weirder results in Dundalk as no favourite yet. That will be rectified in the 8.30 where the Johnny Feane trained Pure Action should win. Judging by trainers only two dangers,one is trained by the out of form Tony Martin,the other is trained by Michael Halford but apparently not much. Pure Action is an in or out job for me. |

Dundalk is hard to figure out and I had no bet or opinion in the race. But one thing I do think is that there are some awful trainers up there and quite a few of them have reputations that they are nowhere near up to.
Feane is one of them fellas that is supposed to be shrewd, well he isn't and neither is a whole host of trainers . The flat is littered with apes that wouldn't know when they had enough eaten |

Didn't see any racing today, but re the favs all blowing out at Fakenham; isn't this the time of year where it is getting milder and you get that kind of drying out gluey ground that horses hate.
Tough time of the year for punting meetings like last Sunday excepted. |

I fancy Aqua Dube tomorrow in the 4:20 at Haydock, thought he ran a great race at huntington last time having been too keen and STD (who I'm no great fan of) is a big upgrade on Moloney who is terrible. Saw him win a maiden hurdle on an odds-on shot a few weeks ago and he nearly took home the last 3 flights. Never liked him but think his bottle is gone.

Bar none that was the worst ride of the whole day in Britain by Sam Twiston Davies. No other top flight rider would have got beaten on it. Disgraceful on it all the way round and the refusal to go and seal the race when he clearly could have had was inexcusable. To add insult to injury the dopey bolloxxx said there should have been a stewards enquiry. There should have been an enquiry all right, as to how he threw away the race. It's no wonder Turnip has no horses of any consequence with the village up on top of them . |

Was pretty sickened alright, couldn't believe he didn't keep him up to it going to the line. Before then, the way he was travelling I was waiting on him to take the thing apart and he never did. Don't know is he a twicer, just didn't have another gear at the finish. STD rode him a bit like Ballyandy last week but Ballyandy is a class horse and this lad is just a good handicapper.
2m4f novices handicap at Cheltenham next maybe, probably Williams best chance of a winner that week. |

He lost the race between the 4th last and the second last. He was running all over the leader but decided not to press home his advantage. There's no way he should have been dependent on a last fence jump. It was an identical race to the one where Tom Scudamore beat Blaklion, he didn't do the bolloxxx and he sealed the race when he could.
