Decided to start a new thread for the golf this week, hopefully we get some interest and a few winners,il start of with the Genesis open, all the top players are turning up,should be a cracking week, just going for one selection,I've backed Jason Day e/w at 14/1,has shown some of his old sparkle over his last couple of outing, but then when he gets into contention he's thrown in a bad round,if he plays a solid four days he won't be far off the lead come Sunday night,it's a big hitter course so this is another factor why I've backed him,
Now onto Europe were they have a strange format, match play for the first 54 holes, too 24 qualify for the last day for a match play format over 6 holes,it's a very weak field, with not much depth in the players,I've backed Noren,he's played some unbelievable golf last year, winning four events,he played solid enough in the Middle East swing without really getting into the running,

Selections Jason Day e/w 14/1,

Europe Alex Noren e/w 12/1,
Also backed the two off them in an e/w double, best of luck this week lads with your selections

That Australian tournament is something else Huddys, considered setting the alarm clock for a bit of laying on it but won't be able to live with myself,no doubt the sharks will be out for the unwary though.
Unless Oosthuizin and Noren make the top 8 on the 3 days strokeplay even with the shocking field they look poor value,i'd imagine their "true odds" won't be far off what basically is a lottery late on.Matchplay on 6 holes isn't really a true test to me,one mistake could be enough.
Not a fan of that format at all.

Very hard to look beyond Spieth and Hideki to me in the States, really playing well but their prices are well factored in at 8's and 10's, Bubba and Phil have won this a couple of times each and with Dustin and Scott having a bit of graw for Riviera and a strong field i,m not going to get too involved. Still just on the basis the bombers seem to do well did a bit of shrapnel on Brenden Steele ew at 66's and Tony Finau 160 exch.

best of luck, good tournament.
