A very decent rated hurdle is the highlight of the card,it looks a competitive race however.
Bit disappointed Blixt didn't take up her bumper entry, short enough for Cheltenham and must be well thought of.

Paper Lantern 2.10
Looks a good thing if it stands up, battled well against Tulpar last Sat,the rest were beaten a country mile, should again hold Gabriellimee and Willow Grange from Fairyhouse 25th Jan despite the former in particular having a nice weight swing.

Itsallhappening 4.20
Poor race, the extra 2f and a bit softer has the perfect recipe for a green n gold plunge(colours mentioned for a reason),on the face of it i can't see why not win here.
Backed last time held up out the back,it was being eased off til carnage at the final two flights, stayed on without threatning as chance was gone, thought it looked a bit immature on that run,a fine big yoke, think it will be more prominent tomorrow and Mark Walsh in the plate will do the job if wanted.

I am very surprised Champagne  Classic is a standout 6/4 with PP - More likely to win than not for me.

I normally don't like backing maiden hurdlers on their 4th attempt but for me he's progressive and this trip looks right for him.

He left call the taxie for dead at Fairyhouse- 14 lengths, him and a WPM debutante (moderate race but this is worse) quickened clear in a decent manner.

His debut run over hurdles behind Turacagau with Toe the Line in third (wouldn't read her run literally) is decent form in the context of this race.

This stowaway gelding looks sure to run his race and still progressive in my view. Biggest danger may well be in the same colours but would be surprised if he doesn't oblige and the SP will be a lot shorter than 6/4

Can't disagree with much of that, think you are right with the price and in all likelyhood should confirm placings, the trip should i think suit Call The Taxi a bit better than the extended 3m last time,it was late on  CC put that distance between them, that was a slight worry for me when i looked at the race.
It was a nice run from CC though.
Best of luck, nice to see a reply on tomorrows racing.

The only danger to champagne classic is loughaderra prince.Freeway space may run into a place.Thirsty work in the 3.15 is a good e.w bet.In the 4.20 queeny should run into a place.

Nice one DJ, didn't see the race but looking at the distance it won as it liked. Good price, would make you wonder them going that with certain owners but not something we have to worry about too much with Gigginstown.

Easy for Champagne, about the same back as the last day with Call The taxi.

Two very slow horses in that opening post.

Good call by DJ876 on a bitterly cold day.

Pa Lapsy knew his fate before both of his races as the drift was stark and alarming.
Huge money for the three that started odds on,the one to swerve is Capital Force as he patently has a wind problem.
I would forgive Back Bar as he was beaten by what looked to me a lovely horse.

Great comments dj876 re Champagne always find the contributors on the Irish forum so informative, compared to the often pathetic comments on the horse racing forum. keep it up lads, and thanks.

It's the Only-Show-in-Town today due to that Equine Flu outbreak.

"It emerged late on Wednesday night that three National Hunt meetings at Doncaster, Huntingdon and Ffos Las - as well as the all-weather Flat card at Chelmsford - had been called off after the British Horseracing Authority was informed of "three confirmed Equine Influenza positives from vaccinated horses in an active racing yard."

Horses from the unnamed yard raced at Ludlow and Ayr on Wednesday, which potentially put other competing horses at risk of infection. Hope Gordon kept his runners away from his yard on their return to Meath.

Racing Post - "Leading trainer Gordon Elliott, who had five runners at Ayr, where a horse from the infected yard ran, has isolated his horses in a facility 15 miles from his main operation in Ireland.
Trainers with runners at Ludlow and Ayr yesterday have isolated the horses and are taking swabs. This is also true of horses who ran at Wolverhampton recently.
Bookmaker shares are down with uncertainly about when racing in Britain will be allow to resume."

Hope it's a good day for the favs

Probably none of them Irish.
Chances are the three offenders in UK yard were not vaccinated.
