Must have been in a hurry home.
While officials at Navan were happy to accommodate the BHA's request, it was stewards at the course who blocked the move. It is understood that they saw no fit reason to delay their races.

You have to laugh. The same stewards called in Tyner for one race and missed a bigger “eye-catcher” from same yard (and same colours) a few races later. Absolute scenes.

The Stewards received a report from Ms Inge D'Haese, Turf Club Veterinary Officer, in relation to the finding in the stable yard of a syringe in the racing tack bag of Mrs John Harrington. Evidence was heard from Ms D'Haese which included the fact that the syringe was cracked and therefore unserviceable. Eamon Leigh, Authorised representative of Mrs Harrington accepted the report and produced the syringe to clarify that it was broken and of no use. He admitted that it was contained in a bag that is kept in the lorry and generally never brought into the yard. Having considered the report, the Stewards were satisfied that there was a breach of R9 but having taken into consideration Mr Leighs long service and clean record combined with the fact that the syringe was unserviceable, they cautioned Mrs Harrington through her representative concerning her future responsibilities in this regard. Mrs T.K. Cooper, Acting Steward< absented herself from this enquiry.
Why keep a syringe if its not working?

They must have gone home early as they missed Denis ORegan giving an exhibition in the last race.
I know he has this laconic style but this was stretching it to put it mildly.

Nobody cares any more, this happens over and over again, you only have to contrast a style when a jockey really is interested.

The minute somebody complains though they're told that it's a dangerous job etc etc and that the complainant doesn't have a clue.

I know what I saw in that race.

Agree that looked terrible, and stewards should have a look/asked a question.

I wasn't sure what to make of the December Navan run,not enough evidence as poor camera shots, you will slaughter me here Punchestown but maybe the yoke is a bridle/travelly thing that finds zilch?
Have a look at it's finishes at Fairyhouse and Naas, despite price i thought he made an effort but what a weak ones they were in similar class, know the answer will come out down the line but i'm inclined to give the benefit of the doubt.

Look at any of its runs.  Falls in a hole when asked for an effort.

No doubt Blackwater Bridge will be under scrutiny today.

Maybe the run downhill into the straight will be a help, also it's featherweight but think we will see the usual bottoming out. Samantom stayed well last week in a better class race, think Martins will always be vulnerable to that type of horse,Fluspar getting so much weight looks the danger to him.

We'll see.
