Its a victory for those that couldn't hack differing views,a victory for Mr Combustible,MrTopNotch and Royal Academy. I await their contributions to this now moribund site.
Mr Combustible seems incapable of posting anything of worth.
Royal Academy the man with the lifelong interest in the American Civil War could give us a treatise on the Battle of Fredericksburg.

What did Tony get the bullet for -being the worst tipster in the history of the forum or claiming to have traded out on his even money losing nap last Sunday.

Personally couldn't knock anyones selections at the moment, chronic would be a kind word for myself, mares in UK races (Bitofapuzle/Briery Queen off top of head) was worth a listen to and had some good days with them. Whatever about Irish racing,he would start a thread and talk about the racing Eddie.

So, just to be clear: I can't hack different views therefore I am responsible for having posters "eliminated"? This is the same old narrative spewed out every time....."four legs good!"..........or it is just plain bile and perniciousness on your part?
As you probably have some arcane (and probably unknowable) angle on the battle in Fredericksburg, Virginia here's my favourite element:
It was synonymous with the first acknowledged Muslim battalion in the Union Army which was, remarkably, like its successor the 54th (black) Massachusetts Infantry Regiment, led by a white man - Colonel Dan Mulgrew from Ballynonty in Tipperary who had fled Ireland in the late forties accused of collaborating with the British in a land war in South Tipperary that was very vicious and ultimately led to some very large land tracts held by very few. Mulgrew, a committed Roman Catholic, came to lead his very own Band Of Brothers when threatened with expulsion from the Union Army in a court-martial over consorting with a young black slave girl who claimed he had paid for her from a captured Confederate general during the early skirmishes of the war.
The "Muslim Warriors" as they were known - now famously remembered by the Virginian Sate Lacrosse team - were the first into battle and lost 90% of their number during the battle. Mulgrew, a master tactician, reportedly observed the battle from the relative safety of nearby Undertaker's Hill where he famously dispatched his manservant, Fergus Stanley, on his piebald with battle instructions. After the War he spent the rest of his time in Washington having sustained serious head injuries from a bald eagle who attacked his renowned plumage when retreating. It was said that he converted to Islam in his later years and was instrumental in the "don't ask, don't tell" form of recruitment that prevails in the American military to this day.
Gods And Generals is a good novel on the battle that I first "read" on audio if anyone cares.
Another one bites the dustokay, okay dan..I'll bite again. So, just to be clear: I can't hack different views therefore I am responsible for having posters "eliminated"? This is the same old narrative spewed out every time....."four legs good!".......
You think what I wrote about Stonewall Jackson was arcane.
It was the scale of suffering in the Battle of Fredericksburg that made it so tragic and futile.
Your colonel Dan Mulgrew sounds too like another hero of mine to be coincidental. Its an interest I have in common with Noel Glynn.
Your still not getting the Stonewall Jackson reference. Your inability to tolerate differing views makes you descend into personal insults and name calling. Ozymandius acted similarly this gets noticed when its coupled with constant complaints from the thought police, the irony is you knocked out your own men. In my many posts on here I have never used foul language, never shortened a user name just argued with what I hoped was logic and humour. I never mind that people don't agree with me,I welcome it.
In the end though ye have won as discussion appears to be banned,no more will your eyes be hurt by certain views.
I will try and create my own blog and give the moderators here a much needed rest.

Just been talking to Tony, banned for 3 months, for something he said over on the politics forum. He's sad he'll miss the banter over Cheltenham, but would like to send his best wishes to all .

It took 17 lines for the 1.01 shot to surface. You knew it had to come especially as Royal Academy is genuinely shocked that someone could have different views,so you must label that individual with what is generally a word that stops the discussion.
I'm not surprised at your latest boast,an Oxford education. Oxford like all great universities used to be a place of learning,a place for ideas. Royal Academy is typical of the new Oxford graduate,as was one of your men Ozymandius,a hater of tradition,a lover of safe spaces,a snowflake who obeys every instruction from the University's Islamic society. I can certainly see you leading the baying mob in the tearing down of the Cecil Rhodes statue.
If you call someone an Islamophobe for challenging some of that religions ideas what would you call a self confessed priest hater. Unlike you I hate no one.
Don't worry about the blog its only a pipe dream.
