Who does the ownership of Airlie Beach revert to when she is finished her Racing career. I'm assuming the Supreme Racing Club doesn't have a breeding programme so what happens?
She's worth a few bob now, do they sell her and use the proceeds to buy other horses that they will syndicate?

If she is leased like a lot of their mares, Ken Parkhill will take her back for breeding.

Ah Neil FFS go back to bed. 1/2 a million? Not in a million years would she fetch half that in a sales ring after her racing career is over.

Is it the expense of keeping horses and the time you have to hold onto jumps horses that drags it down?
Are stores not really making money? 500k very steep alright thinking on it, but couldn't one of hers go for serious money should it piss up in a point. |

And I'm surmising the problem is that in National Hunt, they are as likely to come from near enough any mare as a mare with a good race record or from a good family!

If you check out the big money 3 year old stores sold at the tats derby sale over the years, few work out.
