Some time back I doubted some forumites claims about their university education.
Ozymandius was dividing the forum between in his view the educated and the uneducated, most claimed they had degrees.
Rocketfingers had a degree in sums, others just had degrees.
I had me doubts but now acknowledge I was wrong.

Most have got their degrees in America.

University of Michigan giving their students colouring books and Morla in a safe space to help them get over the election result.
Cornell organised a cry in for their distressed students.
Kansas University was bringing in therapy dogs for them.

I think Mr Combustible got his in Michigan.
Royal Academy Cornell
The Urban Spaceman Kansas.

The best American Universities put the rest of the world to shame, particularly at post-graduate level.  This mostly comes down to their financial might and their proficient marshalling of their alumini network for financing.

Wonks got an honour for 47 years unbroken service to the state, a very proud day for his extended family of 8 sons and 6 daughters, and of course his 92 grand children, not to mention his 7 great grand kids.

By my calculations the wonky family tree that i refer to would cost in the region of 1.7 million a year to keep going.
What a country we live in.

ok, Wildman, I'll bite. I suppose I should be flattered that you link me with a Cornell education. You might round off the fantasy with your own alma mater and that of stanley laurel?

Why do you insist on misrepresentation as a means to score cheap points?

You get sadder by the day and I'm pleased to say I have no friends like you with your nasty and pernicious views on society at large.

mincer, I had a look at the wonks' family tree: it has a curious resemblance to a monkey puzzle.

Misrepresentation is Borneo's stock in trade.  That and the daily repeditive laundry list of personal insults....which invariably refer, ironically, to others resorting to personal insults.

In many ways his schtick is emblematic of this post-truth world.

wonks get what he deserves Wildman; he is a toadying, sycophantic, ingratiating, obsequious idiot and lickspittle

you created the monster. you encourage him with your tacit support and faux praise and it's a cruel form of ridicule (all good fun of a day)

royal academy workrider comes across as a decent sort of fella.whereas yourself, mincer and ozy, probably the biggest tool ive saw posting in the many yrs ive been on here all come across as obnoxious and thoroughly moronic characters.

Workrider was here way before me and will be here long after I'm gone.
Anyone who likes racing is alright by me,that includes Royal Academy.

I can disagree with people without falling out,you people can't.
Your ( Royal Academy ) description of Workrider is just pure hate,I find this a recurring theme all the hate is on the Liberal side.

I argue politics with Tony57,I argue robustly but still like the man.

I think you have the normal concerns of most people but I have always been struck by your inability to comprehend someone holding a differing view.
It came out there recently with Dara OBriain, when he was discussing Katie Hopkins he called it a gig, meaning its an act she doesn't really believe it.
Royal Academy stated the same about me,it comes from a mind that cannot accept someone can hold what are legitimate views.
