Give it over Dolerider you don't know you're left from your right, idiot.
He isn't alone, Rock, indeed he is just copying others inaccurate use of the word.
The triumphant Brexiteers are lauding it over "the left", conveniently ignoring the fact that the Right wing stance was predominantly Remain.
Equally, Trumpites throw out the "left" label dismissively conveniently ignoring the fact that Trump stands for a retraction of free trade (a central plank of right wrong politics) plus a return to Keynsian stimulus politics, traditionally favoured by the left and flying in the face of Reaganism and Thatcherist Monetarism.
Wonks himself would vigorously defend any reduction to social welfare payments (you cannot expect a Turkey to vote for Xmas after all)...which I would consider an extremely left wing stance.
So, ironically, for all this dismissive labelling, the fact is the underlying polices have never been so muddled.
Perhaps the more accurate term for the Trumpist Brexiteers is Alt Right (preferable to Nationalistic Right which has connotations neigh accurate parallels which they would prefer to avoid) . Perhaps when you are that far to the right on certain issues, even conventional right wingers can be mistaken for 'Lefties' ?
Is it any wonder Wonks & Co. are confused? Best to avoid these over-simplistic labels. They no longer apply.

- by this I obviously mean the conventional, traditional, moderate Right, i.e Tories, Business, the establishment (or as they are now collectively known 'Lefties'!)
