"or any month" - curious question. There's plenty of sites but you must pay and then you can analyse to your heart's content. They are not expensive either.

Just basically want a good website that carries those kind of stats. As october stats is what im looking for at the moment thats why i mentioned it. Anyone any particular favourites. btw racing post not an option as it has a habit of freezing my computer. On any browser.

Stats are bad for October/winter favs, but there will be the odd really good fav that will be a real horse next year that they have to get out now with his second career in mind.

Stallion's pedigree from somewhere like Stoutes that is strong in the betting with Moore in the plate, I'd want to be with it.

Expensive Richard Hannon "a real Derby type", I'd want to be against at anything under 4/1!

Depends on the trainer really, there will definitely be a few really good hores well-found in the betting making their debut that will piss up.

Of the bigger priced ones, from recollection, I can John Gosden and Jim Bolger having maiden winners at fair old prices that subsequently turned out to be "well thought of", Bolger especially is very commercially aware and will like them to have at least won as a 2yo.

Main thing I think is to stay away from the average/poor trainers who have might have horses with big price tags. A Gosden horse that is any good will at least be able to run a race in all probability.

Can remember a Shadwell horse of Gosden's last season pissing up somewhere like Nottingham at 6 or 8/1, subsequently got injured and blew out on return at I think Sandown when very strong in the betting. Gosden said that he would've been his French Derby horse, that kind of thing.

Pretty sure you mean wajeez. Dotted up by 10 / 11 L. Backed it AP for epsom derby but alas twas not to be. Beaten in a 4 or 5 runner conditions stakes about 3 weeks after derby. As regards 2yo this time of year always found godolphin have a pretty good s/r. Might not be the case this autumn though. Will wait and see

yep, that was the guy Monarch, I'm brutal with horses names.

Godolphin are a good shout, great crowd to win a maiden.

Fack it he was only 7/2! Was sure his SP was bigger.

Best database site is HorseRacebase.com

As Dublin professionals are currently fond of saying (the latest "no brainer") you can "slice and dice" every which way you like

Your tutorial for the weekend is:

name an Irish trainer with a consistent 20% ROI in 2yo maidens over the past 5 years (Oct-Dec) at SP's under 4/1  and a strike-rate of 23%?

Who is the man to follow for the same time and period with ALL his 2yo's second time out?
