I think the Tipp forwards could run riot today and expose this Kilkenny defence.
By:
tipp to win.they got everything in their favour.kks main man mick fennelly a huge loss..if they cant win today they will never beat this current kk group..id love to see limerick winning the minor but the tipp team(like the kerry minor footballers) look special...
By:
Same old same old tipp , Kk to get the cream
By:
Hoping Tipp win ,playing golf with 4 Tipp men this week ,if they get beat it'll be a long week for me...
By:
I expect a fluctuating match as the odds indicate . Cannot call it , the Cats have not looked as good this year , but they have a habit of always coming out with the ball . Hope the weather is good , OK up here , not sure about Dublin .
By:
Think its gonna be a long week for the Tipp men no matter what happens.

Got 2.16 on the cats here yesterday, im looking forward to the final of the best game in the World.
By:
Took 2.3 here earlier,6/5 now in pp
By:
tipp - 2 3 4 5 6 pour moi
By:
Cats drifting,more profits hopefully
By:
Just took 2.42 Kilkenny
I will be shocked if that's not a tradable price You would think there'd be no one in the goal and Tipp have buried 2 already.. A mighty battle ahead. |
By:
Still expect "cats" to win by about 6 or 7 points
By:
Got my trade after cats goal.
Well played Tipp, best team won clearly. |
By:
ITS A LONG WAY TO TIPPERARY, WELL DONE LADS
By:
Bad language like that not required Bubbles.A severe lack of class.
By:
Absolutely. No need for that after a great performance. Seems like a bit of a pup.
Callanan out of this world. |
By:
has bubbles tourettes? seamie to collect mom now to top a perfect punt !
By:
Only sport I know of that the victory speech doesn't begin with a nod towards the vanquished opponents. Most unseemly.
I say this every year. |
By:
One of the great hurling teams.
By:
Rocketfinger/Ozymandius.......You bring this up every year to be fair to you......It's at the end of the speech in GAA and your other annual query.....there are no runner up medals.
By:
I'm from Limerick and hate Tipp, but I fckin love that Tipp team. Unbelievable ability and great to see them finally overcome KK after they should've won in 14.
By:
Why do you hate Tipp?.
By:
It should be at the beginning...as it is in every civillised sport. Begin with respect to your opponents.
Instead we have a gossun wailing triumphantly like a banshee abut all in sundry. Commiseration to the opponents is tagged on at the end as an afterthought. |
By:
Really enjoyed that, time for Cody to go, Tipperary great GAA county, when Kilkenny have a team good enough to play in the Football semi-final, I might support them.
By:
Have never queried runner up medals.
My other annual chestnut is why yer man in the goals doesn't wear some protection? Even a pair of shin pads. Macho peer pressure presumably. Should be obligatory. |
By:
Ozymandius/Rocketfingers......Poor bait.
By:
Great performance from Tipp , they played most of the hurling today . Cats obviously missing Michael Fennelly , would have been tighter with him there , but Tipp look like a team to follow for a while .
By:
It's not bait. There is a reason every other sports victory speech starts with commiserating the opponent. It's because it is the right and proper, respectful thing to do.
I think I might pen a letter to the powers that be. |
By:
You will see the same poor etiquette after the football final.
Who is the Dublin Captain and how might I contact him with a word to the wise and a crash course in sporting etiquette. P.S. Sky Sports had some bore with a lisp co-commentating which did not add to the razzamatazz factor. Enjoyable nonetheless. |
By:
A strongly worded letter to your local MP might help.
By:
The same way Meath dislike Dublin GANT, I've huge regard for their ability as hurlers, though. I was really glad they won today, most deserving winners in years.
By:
Wd winners , got that all wrong

Kilkenny no full-back line and no forwards. Poor tactics from line should have played someone in front of full-back line. Can see the cats in decline for a few years as players not coming through from under-age.
By:
a superb spectacle in front of 82000 people. skill intensity physicality 53 scores..no sport comes close to it.no red yellow or black cards.reffed with intelligence by brian gavin. seamus callinan 13 points ..unreal display. bubbles let himself down a bit but maybe shoving a microphone into a players face straight after a game isnt a great idea..cody very sporting and dignified afterwards..a great day,..
By:
Agreed Kavvie.......It's always good when the anti GAA boys only complaint is the format of the winning captains speech.
By:
I actually thought it was a poor game, the first half was particularly scrappy, and the last 20 mins was a non event . It wouldn't hold a candle to the finals around the start of the decade. Once tipp went four points in front you could have turned it off, a comeback never looked likely. Kilkenny looked like they were jaded and maybe a lack of desire which is perfectly understandable was also a factor . It is a crazy world that at the same time yesterday evening , a tremendous athlete like Callinan was being rewarded with a medal and a dinner in the Burlington , while a fat immobile tattooed scouser with the hair from a camels balls on his head was just opening his weekly cheque for 300k.
It's only in Ireland that people could stand for that. |
By:
That's life Jimeen, fair play to Rooney getting well paid for something he loves doing.
What about Roddy Collins telling us that a lad does a head count before half time at Waterford's league of Ireland matches to see if the wages will be covered.......That's Ireland. |
By:
Lol who was it rooney ? Didn't watch sunday game. Skill level was down on classic finals for sure,Kk had no anserws or didnt change tactics or move players around in defence which seemed needed.
