Some of your comments with LL applies to Cappadocia in the 3.20 i think as well,ie a better looking race last time and took a while to get going, consistent enough and Pat Smullen booked would be my ew choice in it particulary if 4 places.
Think a few of the synopsis writers describing Crocodile Shoes win as "easy" haven't rewatched the last race, probabably would have won but it would have been close except for the demise of Finians Bay. |

Not @ Navan but Gordon lord byron should run a big race today whether that's good enough to get involved or not. The race is cutting up a bit with the fav coming out and the heavy rain. 2 3 year olds @ the top of the market could be vulnerable given it's going to turn into a slog. The trainer seems very confident of a big run today and the horse seems on good terms with himself last couple of runs. 16/1 for a former winner of the race not bad value.

Gamble landed for Ducky Mallon, might be time to stop making excuses for Louis Leroy. Could back him if he runs at Naas as he likes there but every chance today and not good enough. Ground has gone against Velveteen perhaps but I'm going to back Red Sabor (10.0 on here) who I can't believe has drifted so much, ground has really come in his favour.

Tony Martin trained Anibale Fly landed the Beginners Chase. A winner at the Punchestown festival on his last start last April and today travelled well for most of the trip, before eventually fending off the challenge of Cheltenham festival hero Martello Tower. Following the race, Martin stated “it was very workmanlike - he had plenty done on the flat and schooling and that showed. “Before we ever ran him, we had the option of point-to-pointing so he had plenty of schooling in him and lucky enough it showed.” He added “it was grand to get it and great that he jumped well and hopefully he has a bit of a future over fences but I wouldn’t be getting too excited after only scrambling home. "He does get two-and-a-half (miles) but has enough pace over two and two-and-a-quarter and we’ll get him home and see how he is but I wouldn’t be getting too excited after today.” Drinmore entry.

"Danny is brilliant, he has a great knowledge of my horses and I knew when he was so far clear he’d know exactly how much he had left; they let him go a little bit too. he has a lovely chase mark of 124 and should get in to the Troytown, so I’d say we'll have a go at that; he’ll love the trip as he stays real well". John Patrick Ryan trainer. |
