A bunch of pus****,
Their quote of we will have to consult our experts(in regards to Apple) is pure posterior raised upwards yet again. This happened so long ago, the corporation tax is low which i agree with in order for employment to be created, this is in part subsided by the highest taxes on gatt, smokes, petrol etc. Most other countries have it the other way round but you can't have everything. Our rule anyway and while one of the richest companies on the planet,it was still our law. Fair play Micheal O'Leary though it shouldn't be a polite F ***. |

Let's see...the applicable tax structures and instruments were apparently set up in 1991 and 2007.
Now if we only knew who was the dominant political party in government at the time ...oh wait ,it's coming to me ...it was actually Fianna Fáil. Imagine that. ![]() ![]() |

I for one hope NO politician gets their hands on the loot. Best people on the planet to squander money.

I say give it to the socialists so they can bring about the long-awaited egalitarian utopia we all lust after.
Wasn't it the archetypal socialist -the good Lord J Christ who once notably said 'Give all your goods to the poor -and follow me (on celestial twitter ? ) Didn't He also proclaim that it was easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man(oops Jeez ,a tad sexist there ,what ?) to get into heaven ? OK ,you heard what The Man said -no more accumulation of riches in your Betfair accounts ...do the right thing - get out now while there is yet time. ![]() |

Most of us probably torn on this.
The rate of tax Apple is paying is ludicrous and wrong. The Evil Empire trying to use competition rules to force tax harmonisation is equally wrong. |
