It seemed to me that Simenon burst in Killarney, this appears to have been kept secret. It looks like he did it again in Roscommon.
These things happen but it seems this horse was run specifically for betting purposes. They knew he was bursting, knew he couldn't win ( rather like Cops And Robbers ) so had their twin plan. It was like old times with the Meade punters only getting involved late on. It started with the punting of Snow Falcon,he would have been backed to odds on except Meade had some doubts about his fitness, this caused another punt onSaddlers Risk. The last play was a monumental lay of Simenon, everything hoovered up from a variety of accounts.
These gentlemen play with a marked deck and anyone foolish enough to back Simenon was the victim.
It got more like old times in the bumper with Noel Meade winning it without a Willie Mullins to bother about.
