Somewhat of a dream team but if the forum had a soccer team this is what I would imagine it to be.

Goalkeepers.
Pat Jennings/ Jumper.
A safe pair of hands and all round gentleman.
Shay Given/Deplasterer
Proximity puts them together along with golfing skills.

Defenders.
Tommy Smith/Tony57.
A no nonsense defender and two proud Liverpudlians.
Graeme Le Saux/ Vubiant.
Le Saux was famous for his cerebral activities.

Ron Harris/ Calling Card.
A take no prisoners uncompromising Chelsea defender of the seventies, nicknamed Chopper.
Kevin Moran/Frank60
An unassuming Dub who excelled in two sports.
Paul McGrath/Premier Fantasy.
Proximity again its no distance from Sallynoggin to Dalkey.
Franz Beckenbauer/Keen Leader.
Der Kaiser effortless,stylish and supreme.

Midfielders.
Paul Gascoigne/ Mr Combustible.
Lacrimose in need of safe spaces and unable to cope with differing views.
Diego Maradona/ Bigwilliestyle
Mercurial, flashes of brilliance sprinkled with some darker moments.
Antonio Rattin/Callitasucit.
Both wrongly sent off.
Roy Keane/ Applehunter
Two proud Corkmen
Joey Barton/ DJ876
Capable of great stuff but an unpleasant side.
Johnny Giles/ Huddys.
Two of Shamrock Rovers finest.
Martin ONeill/Norn Iron.
Proximity again,loyalty and deep thinkers.
Willie Bryan/ Kavvie.
A MacGuffin.

Forwards.
Stanley Matthews/Workrider
Still playing at 57.
Justin Fashanu/Ozymandius
Ticks all the politically correct boxes.
George Best/Pa Lapsy
The best footballer and best poster, both have a Cork connection.
Derek Dougan/Insideinfo.
Northern Irelands great goal scorer, could be something about a never worn sash also.
Steve Heighway/ Neil d
Liverpool player who unusually got his academic qualifications first.
Lionel Messi/Olddesperado.
Fancy footwork and all round brilliance.
Mario Balotelli/ Slickster.
Obsessive and slightly deranged.
Paolo Di Canio/Cheltenham Roar
Unpredictable but capable of brilliance.
Eric Cantona/Guinness2dear.
Always good for a quote.

Manager.
Sepp Herberger/ Kelly.

Physiotherapist.
Dark Rosaleen.

Water Carrier.
Rocketfingers.

Haha.

Ah you'ld have to give him a trial anyway.
Put him in as Hitzlsperger and slot him in dirctly behind Fashanu?

Brilliant Wildman ,at least equal to Ozy Blackadder Christmas sketch a few Christmas ago, the Irish forum would be a poorer place without you both,

Have to say Borneo's man-management (manipulation) of 'Bestie' over the years has been a masterclass.  Sir Alex-esque.

Royal Acadamey a shocking ommission...sort of  Cruyffesque, elegant, all-round visionary.

I thought it sporting of Wildman not to include Soldier of Fortune and Anfield, not one to hold a grudge it seems.
