I remember a few years back one of my best friends from school and after was entertaining some clients at sligo races and rang me for a few tips.
I hadnt looked at the card but was at home and doing a few bets so told him to give a chance to study and ring me before each race.

First race i gave him a winner , cant remember the price but it was decent about 5 / 6 /7 to 1.
Second race again a winner around 3/1 from memory but third race i gave him a loser and he went bezerk.

While he lost some money it wasnt his concern but some of his clients lost all they had won earlier.

He called me useless even though he was up to a level stake.

I didnt answer his calls for the rest of the day,

My point is the tipsters/form readers that share their work will eventually get sick of getting abused by non gamblers/understanders and the forum dies which puts off maybe one person and so on and on.

There's history between Wildman and the Soldier Ozy, Soldier posted a very vitriolic comment toward the Wildman some time ago. I'd say a few here remember it.

his posts are interesting and on point and althought they may not be sports related they are a much better read than some dick like snap telling us some odds on chance will win! as for severely self inflated egos,ozy easily takes that crown.

I agree. I have come around after many years not being sure what I agreed with, but now have the evidence, worn the tee-shirt - it is best to witness many things in life and come to one's own conclusion, based on the facts placed in front of you. Anything else, based on hearsay for example, can not be too far from just plain old prejudice.

While Wildman does go on a bit, I must say I can see his points. Yes, this is an Irish part of the forum. If we just spend all our time in the country, even only Dublin, we can be somewhat distanced from the events around us in the wider world, although they are beamed into our TV screens on a daily basis - sometimes a slightly nuanced version if one just follows the BBC/RTE.

I was fortunate to speak to many ordinary folk in the UK upto Brexit. I could see clearly why they were swayed on the immigration points, even if the mainstream debate was not about immigration.

My only criticism. If you keep labouring the point, many just turn off, or worse still, do not even open the thread.

I made no comment whatsoever about your wife's tough death, because I know nothing about your wife having a tough death. I'm saddened to hear that she did. I wish her peace and I hope that she is now in a better place, free from all forms of pain that she suffered.

A deal's a deal. We've had enough of people reneging on bets/promises on the Politics Forum, and even Chit Chat. Three absolute shockers that I know of in just a few years involving many thousands of pounds. 

I'd like to think that the men of the Irish Forum surely have greater integrity and will ensure that every penny of this is duly paid, even though the Community would be a poorer place without WMB's words of wisdom.
