7.20 roconga @12/1e/w
ran well lto @fairyhouse were race was not run to suit  now going back up in trip is imo what will make the difference and 12/1 is fair..start of the week with a small bet, if roconga wins or goes close i will back sizing knockheen @7/2 8.20  who was behind roconga on debut over a year ago..something must of gone wrong with de bromheads 6yr old but jockey booking surgests he may not be far away in a race were i dont like the favorite

5.45 - Deputy Marshall 14/1

Course winner, given a very iffy 'ride' at Sligo last time out. Competitive affair, but 14-1 and 5 places with Laddies will do me.

Tricky card.

Easyfix Handicap Hurdle 5.45.
Camlann all the rage here but I like Beckwith Star, just gets in under top weight has won twice in Galway, won it last year,12/1 a big price.

Claregalwayhotel Maiden 6.15.
The trainer doesn't seem to fancy the favourite,I think Ger Lyons will win it,unfortunately I find it hard to split them.

Claregalwayhotel Handicap 6.50.
Again I'm torn,I really fancy Heartful but the draw is a killer, can't back him now but can't back anything to beat him.

Connacht Hotel Handicap, 7.20.
Agree with Tony here,Roconga a cracking price at 12/1.

The Bumper 8.20.
Can't have the favourite here, looked very moderate in Wexford.
Sizing Knockeen could end up favourite but he's off the course 14 months.
Angelica **** has current form,a decent second at Roscommon, she could be an improving filly and will do for me at 16/1.

Good luck all but remember they are all trying here much harder to back winners than at your ordinary run of the mill meetings.

very tricky card indeed wildman, i agree about the mullins bumper horse very disappointing on debut, maybe track didnt suit? but was going well till turning in? normally they dont lack for fitness? so im more than happy to take it on..best of luck

Briars Hill worth a good bet tonight imo,I thought this fellow was going to go right to the top , found it hard after that fall at Cheltenham though. If ready tonight should be a cakewalk imo...

Oathkeeper won a brutal maiden hurdle, Three Wise Men has much the better form I have backed him. As a 2 and a half mile bumper horse running over only 2 over hurdles is a bit alarming though I'm slightly concerned about Three Wise Men's pace too. If Briar Hill is on song the beginners chase is a procession, otherwise I think Ridestan can win, loves this track and I'd say his run last time was with this race in mind, a nice introduction to chasing.

Bel Sas, saw this lad at Bellewstown and was very taking with him,a fine looker and has the hall mark of a chaser ,ran them ragged although what he beat is open to question .Only minus for me would be the drop in trip ...

We won't have the pleasure of Brian Gleeson trying to hide whether he fancies Don't Tell No One in the first as its not live on RTE.
I still think he's a right chance.

I agree with Workrider about Bel Sas,think he will lead from the start and grind them into the ground..

Guinness Foals Handicap.
Byron Beauty ran some race in Ballinrobe,he was left some distance yet she managed to get herself back into contention eventually finished third, she gets 3 pound for that.
Her trainer Harry Rogers was just starting to run into form at the time, she's nicely drawn in five.
16/1 too big and a decent each way bet.
Guinness Bumper.
This looks a shocking race, interesting to see Derek OConnor riding for Jessica Harrington.
Charlie Stout ran a decent race first time out in Limerick,Bel Sas finished ahead of him,I'm forgiving him his dreadful run in Ffos Las,you can o that when they are 16/1 plus.

i have bel sas down as a flat track bully, and one likely to chuck it in if put under pressure.
doc rides for Harrington, because he rode a winner for the owner last year at limerick.

does anyone like PLAYBOOK 6.00 @7/2 in the bumper? jockey wouldnt normally ride for harrington, decent 3rd on debut?this looks a weak race for the track?

The owner of Playbook ripped Katie out of it in Killarney after she got ran away with on one for Denis Hogan. Made no odds today who rode it unfortunately. Ran a shocker.

fields around this dump should be restricted to 8 runners..........without doubt the worst race course in UK and ireland.........the straight is about 1.5 F long...........there is a mountain to get over also..........how people get excided about it is beyond me

A lot of scrimmaging and slipping alright, probably a good argument to cut field sizes  i,d agree. Think the meeting goes well with Goodwood. Been a few very good finishes also.

I know Robbie Mac thinks he has pegasus, odds gone from 16/1 to half that(i know it takes little),hope it does him justice.

Think Tipp trainer J Nicholson is going a very unusual route for Nora Batt,i can only assume he feels the faster the better for her (given Baths reputation)despite last time. Was surprised she is odds against, the form worked out well from Bellewstown with a couple behind getting races. Swanton Blue has run well enough without showing a change of gear, the rest look poor to me.
Though the series finales aren't huge in financial terms,i think he is thinking outside the box.
