guys...........please watch this documentary. this 6 year old went missing in 1977............the story we were always told was that she was following her uncle across a field and when he turned around, she was gone

well watch this please..............she has a twin sister who is now estranged from her mother because she wants an inquiry into her dissapearance............there are suggestions that a fianna fail politician told gardai to stop questioning the main suspect...........the mother refuses to demand a public inquiry. this video is fascinating. you can draw your own conclusions as to what happened but i think after watching this, its obvious.
this is a disgrace. what type of country do we live in?

I remember the case well, Marys twin sister Ann is a very Determent lady but its sad that her mother and herself dont talk anymore , i fear that many of the secrets of the case  will go to the grave , but i hope for the Boyle family im wrong.

This  documentary makes for sad and disturbing viewing. There's an unmerciful stench about the whole episode which reflects shamefully on so many institutions of state. The most sinister aspect for me is the attempt by the Garda Siochana to frame an innocent man for a crime they did not adequately investigate from day one.
For myself I have lost whatever confidence I ever had in the Gardaí a long time ago .In fact I have zero confidence in any of the State institutions and simply pray that I will never fall into their clutches.
I hope Mr.McMahon successfully sues the Gardai and that the surviving twin successfully sues the State...even if it only amounts to a small, late symbolic victory.

It is stinking from start to finish, Enda Kenny and Micheal Martin have tried to fob the sister off.
A powder keg.
3 senior Gardai were in the documentary,i thought 2 were a credit to the guards, the other, well.
It seems to me they are simply waiting for people involved to die and for the whole sorry story to be swept under the carpet.

I couldn,t have put it better myself PA,  fair play to Margo as well for standing by Ann as well, which is more then Mrs Boyle did.

I was at a car crash where people were injured recently. When the Gardai turned up
I was astonished at just how much they were like their caricature image. Absolute
waste of space.

That documentary was very sad - there's a bad smell and fair play to the people who
are not giving up in their pursuit of justice.

I think my deleted thread from last night got to the heart of this issue. Let us hope it is aired in the mainstream media.
