This runs into millions but fear not the HSE are on the case.

They have written to the pharmacy's involved requesting the return of the money.

The brother yesterday paid 180 e to see a doctor and get a prescription.
The doctor was surprised and seemingly delighted it was cash.
He won't qualify for a medical card and would struggle to pay vhi.
That seems extoronate to me,surely others in the same boat are playing with their lives if in a similar situation?

I'm in the same boat pa.

50 for the doc down our way , prescription I suppose could be anything depending on what it is.

You would want to be sure you are sick particulary if you have a mortgage/family.
50e isn't the worse and is what i paid in Ireland to see a doctor a few years ago but still for many i think the decision to forsake seeing one as other outgoings could have seemingly high though false priorities.
