Yes Ronnie can do your head in ,but George is just souless ,he brings nothing to the table . Nothing in his voice tells you hes at the game to enjoy it...

I watched it on UTV ( I think , or maybe BBC ) . Commentators there were 100% behind Ireland .  Flicked over to RTE , found it was blocked on my ( Sky) feed . Fans were unbelievable , lifted team when they needed it .

Reference the betting on the match , I was surprised to see Italy at 7/5 , bearing in mind they were the only team in the tournament with a 100% record prior to tonight . Ireland were ( allegedly) 5/2 with Ladcrokes , went into one of their shops locally and Ireland were only 11/5 .  Returning home they were still 5/2 on their website .  Do Laddies have different prices for their shops and their on line ? , and is it policy or just normal inconsistency as evidenced by various bets I have had with them during the Euros , each shop seems to operate under different rules .

With RTE for nearly 40years,     "And Ireland have got to contain the brothers Baggio." [Later in the game…] "The Baggio brothers, of course, are not related   ....    and the best one we all remember...1990 World Cup, "The nation holds its breath".

There's nothing wrong with George Hamilton , I wouldn't take any notice of poor old wonks , he wouldn't be the brightest .
He comes up with this sort of nonsense almost on a daily basis . Well he does when they take the jacket off him and he's allowed post .
Only the other day I saw the dope writing how long will Ryan Moore be riding for Coolmore , before that it was is there a worst jockey riding than Ryan Moore, note worst rather than worse , and you get an idea what kind of brain power we are dealing with
Has for years wrote inane horses pisss, and this is even more of it .
It would be no surprise to me that he was criticising Hamilton but watching it on BBC.
