At 225k, youd have to say that its money well spent , and on the back of that debut that was brimful of promise, connections would have to be well pleased with that effort.
Jumped beautifully and travelled well all through, in a race that is sure to throw up plenty of winners, but theres no doubt the eye was drawn to this imposing sort all the way round.
You'd have to wonder why Mullins pulled out the original favourite, sure a bit of rock hard ground never hurt anyone.
The small man has no chance of getting their hands on such a promising sort though, and it really is amazing how Kirk and Gigginstown werent aware of this little beauty.

You got a fair few views but there is a little bit of sarcasm or being a bit cranky or something tis hard to reply in case you''d ate the face off me.
You aren't wrong though,it was an awful show from it on the back of what looked quite good French flat form.
You wouldn't look twice at Giggys horse point form in the bumper,that looked a very decent animal in contrast.

As an aside hasn't Danny Mullins transformed into an excellent jockey since he got sacked from that outfit.

This fellow looked really well tonight , not sure if the ground didn't suit but I'd be worried if I'd payed that kind of money for it . In the first BND looked to me as if its had enough for the season ,badly needs a break imo..

I was surprised that the horse started at such a short price, there isn't much size to him and you would be asking questions of the bloodstock agent who "advised" on the sale.
What was even more mystifying on the back of this poor performance was the punt on his next runner, Adimelo, in the hcp hdle which cut out very quickly finishing only ahead of the two AJ Martin triers.

Saturnas trained by Willie Mullins making his hurdles debut but last seen on flat 14 months ago.
Asangy a three time flat winner in France cost 225,000 another hurdles debutant.
The market was stark,all the money for Saturnas,Asangy friendless.
Saturnas is withdrawn because of the ground,this causes mayhem.
The previously friendless Asangy becomes a short priced favourite by default,its quickly realised that nothing is fancied other than the hitherto useless Everyday Everyhour
The money piles on Asagny on a something has to win it basis,I was amazed to see it odds on and found myself getting an urge to lay the beast,an urge I sadly resisted.
I doubt Asagny was fancied.
The race illustrates to me how good a trainer Gordon Elliott is.
