Thought I'd play a few before heading off to Naas ,on a bad run atm so a change of tack . 2.35 have Dutched Welds and Halfords .
3.10. With the fav a n/r have took a chace that Halfords will come on a lot for its first run and @ 12 on here have had a little dabble .
3.40 Magical Fire caught my eye here the last day ,looks as if its stable 2nd string but @ 27/26/ 25/ 24 on here it wont cost me a fortune if it gets beat and will be a nice little earner if winning .
My main bet is a lay of Washington DC @2.38 I feel there is a couple in here who might beat him .
Good luck all punters...

Nice profitable little thread there're WR.
I hadn't the balls to lay WDC.
Well done.

Magical Fire ran well and just touched off for a place, she behaved herself today.
Only Mine quickened up well,so did Washington DC and wouldn't be in a rush to lay him in a similar race next time.
Spruce Meadows and Hasanpour in the handicaps ran on well and worth watching short term.

Thanks The Gotchee , badly needed let me tell you , Pa shes a bit of a madam swiched her tail on the way to the start , not Billies best ride , got stuck behind a wall of horses , so overall she ran a cracker . one for your thread ?
Hasanpour will be winning soon if this weather keeps up .

You got two things right Workrider.
You got your lay of Washington DC spot on but more interesting has been your views on Ryan Moore.
You have longed argued that for a great jockey he rides some inexplicably bad races this was a perfect example.

Moore got Peace Envoy and Cuff in the correct position on the rails, perfectly executed rides.
Washington DC broke perfectly but he yanked him back, sat still behind the field didnt notice Only Mine had kicked and gone beyond recall, having availed of the rail earlier he moved this time to his right and accepted the situation fairly quickly.

Ryan Moore is probably the best around but he keeps throwing in these bad rides,Master Speaker on The Curragh one of the more notable.

It was a poor ride on Washington DC. However, the ratio of poor rides to good ones for Moore is lower than any jockey in the world bar Smullen. Master Speaker is a complete tramp and Moore is still the only many who has got him to win one of those handicaps.

Difficult not be impressed by Cuff who was a decisive winner in what looked a strong race on paper. No reason why she won’t win in Royal Ascot.

You can’t make a call on just one race but it was interesting how easily the (presumably) well thought of Hannon horse was put in his place. Hopefully it’s on omen for the Irish 2yo’s in the first half of the season.

As I have said on the main thread Wildmanfromborneo ,I'm not fully convinced Ryan is a GREAT jockey ,a very good one no doubt . One of his rides at Haydock yesterday was shocking ,a 7lb claimer would have done better , he seems to be very capable in Group races for Ballydoyle but his overall riding leaves a lot to be desired ,as you pointed out his ride on Washington was not top drawer . TTK I also took note of the English 2yo form , but a bigger sample would be required before deducting anything.

Master speaker is an old dog of a horse, how anyone could criticise a jock that rode him shows a lack of knowladge about this great sport of ours. Wildman then goes on to have a pop at a man who actually goes racing and could see the horses pre-race and up close, he had a better view than you had from your high stool.

Cuff beat Wayside Flower a short head when Wayside was making her debut, she comprehensively beat her today.

Not alone was Hakeem put in place but the four fillies in Cuffs race were easily dispatched as well.

I have my eye on Magical Fire and thought she got a poor ride today finishing a close up 4th to Cuff , I was wondering what your opinion of her was Wildmanfromborneo.
Report wildmanfromborneo May 29, 2016 11:00 PM BST
I don't like her,I saw her close up at the Curragh where she was a proper madam.

I think she is deceptive and will always flatter to deceive.
