Very strange betting on Monacle there, having been backed into odds on just before the off , after 2furs it went out to 2.50 . Continued to drift ,and never put into the race . Someone made plenty.

As usual a fairly smelly first run is followed up by a much improved next outing, the one theme you can knock O'brien for.

Later on i thought Pilgram Way was impressive and Malpensa was eyecatching in the mares race.
